Antwerp Symphony Orchestra
The Antwerp Symphony Orchestra is the symphony orchestra of Flanders and Belgium and is based in the Queen Elisabeth Hall in Antwerp. Under the baton of Honorary Conductor Philippe Herreweghe, Conductor Emeritus Jaap van Zweden, and many international guest conductors, the orchestra wants to move and inspire a large and diverse audience through top-level concert experiences. Starting in September 2026, Marc Albrecht will assume the role of chief conductor of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. Before this official appointment, he will introduce himself to the Antwerp audience twice in the season of 2025-2026. Thanks to its own series of concerts in large venues, the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra occupies a unique position in Flanders. The Antwerp Symphony Orchestra has also been a guest of some major foreign concert halls: the Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Festspielhaus in Salzburg, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Suntory Hall and the Bunka Kaikan Hall in Tokyo, the Philharmonie of Cologne and Munich, the Palace of Art in Budapest and the National Grand Theatre of Beijing. International concert tours through Europe and Asia are a constant item on the yearly calendar. Alongside its regular concerts, the orchestra attaches great value to developing educational and social projects, offering children, youngsters, and people with different social backgrounds the opportunity to get acquainted with the symphony orchestra from close quarters. Botanique
Le Botanique is a cultural centre dedicated to live music and art exhibitions in Brussels. Inaugurated in 1829 as a national botanic garden, Le Botanique became the cultural centre for the French Community of Belgium on 1984 and nowadays is one of Belgium’s most visited and active cultural centres. At Botanique, we are passionate about discovering new music and helping emerging artists launch their career. With on average 300 concerts, 10 exhibitions and 100 residencies a year, we aim to create space for creativity and artistic development. Our music festival 'Les Nuits Botanique' takes place in May every year. Boasting an eclectic line-up with international and local musicians, Les Nuits Botanique aims to promote Belgium's local scene among internationally-renowned artists. We want to create a space where everyone feels at home and can fully enjoy the live experience, be it in an intimate setting in the Rotonde or on the bigger 'Chapiteau' outdoor stage.

Brussels Jazz Orchestra
It might be unexpected but the Brussels Jazz orchestra (BJO) is not the kind of jazz orchestra that sticks to standards. It prefers to achieve the highest level by composing original music, creating unique arrangements and playing inventively as well as passionately. In fact, it really is jazz with a dynamic orchestral sound, with a classic strength in which each musician is also a brilliant soloist. Call it an ‘orchestrated passion for jazz’ that incites BJO to create world-class music. Who comes to play with BJO depends on the project. In addition to BJO’s own productions, it works with well known musicians from all over the world. In that way, BJO has established a reputation at home and on relevant jazz stages abroad. Since the Brussels Jazz Orchestra is recognised and subsidised by the Flemish Government. BJO performed with Philip Catherine, Bert Joris, deFilharmonie,Toots Thielemans, Brass Band Willebroek, Tutu Puoane, Brussels Philharmonic, David Linx, Vlaams Radio Koor, Veerle Dobbelaere, Michel Herr, Michaël De Cock, ’t Arsenaal and Richard Galliano in own productions. BJO invited Maria Schneider (US), Kenny Werner (US), Dave Liebman (US), Dave Douglas (US), Gianluigi Trovesi (IT), Gustavo Bergalli (ARG), Norma Winstone (GB), McCoy Tyner (US), Maria Joao (Portugal), Kenny Wheeler (GB), Lee Konitz (US) and others.

Flanders Symphony Orchestra
The Flanders Symphony Orchestra (FSO) is one of Belgium’s leading orchestras. Composed of highly committed and passionate musicians, and led by renowned conductors, the Flanders Symphony Orchestra both commissions and performs new compositions as well as electrifying renditions of the main symphonic repertoire from the classical period onwards. The Flanders Symphony Orchestra fulfills an exemplary role in creating outreach projects, educational projects as well as projects focusing on the development of young and talented musicians, composers, and conductors. The orchestra makes music from both past and present accessible to as wide and diverse an audience as possible in Flanders and beyond. The orchestra was founded in 1960 by engineer Dirk Varendonck, also the orchestra’s first conductor. From 1984 onwards the orchestra was conducted by Patrick Peire, Robert Groslot and Fabrice Bollon. The orchestra went through a thorough reformation in the mid-1990s. Principal conductors have included David Angus, Etienne Siebens, Seikyo Kim and Jan Latham-Koenig. As from the concert season 2019-20, Kristiina Poska is the new chief conductor of the Flanders Symphony Orchestra. Thanks to its own concert series in all major venues of Flanders and Brussels, the orchestra succeeds in reaching a large and loyal audience. In addition, the orchestra is a welcome guest at international venues and festivals. The Flanders Symphony Orchestra is in residence at Muziekcentrum De Bijloke, Ghent (member of the UNESCO Creative Cities of Music Network), and receives support from the Flemish Government and the City of Ghent.

Music Lab
RECORD / EDIT / PRODUCE / MASTER / REMIX Music Lab wil een muziekeducatieve organisatie zijn met uitvalsbasis in Hasselt door diverse muzikale kortlopende opleidingen vanuit de praktijk aan te bieden. De kortlopende opleidingen moet de muzikant toelaten zijn of haar muziekcapaciteiten te ontdekken, verder te ontplooien en naar een hoger niveau tillen. Onze klemtoon ligt hierbij op ‘het muzikant zijn’’ in al zijn facetten. Het aanbod van Music Lab bestrijkt een breed spectrum: gaande van softwarecursussen (cubase, ableton, logic, cubase, …), over infosessies (ivm zakelijke aspecten van muzikantenbestaan, speelkansen,…), tot workshops (songteksten schrijven, … Dit telkens onder begeleiding van professionele muzikanten. Dit divers aanbod vormt voor muzikanten een grote troef. De rol van Music Lab is dus in de eerste plaats die van katalysator bij het groeipad van muzikanten.

Igloo Records
In 1978, in the midst of the cultural and artistic “post 68” effervescence, a label was born. Igloo was created by passionate fans of fiercely original, independent and singular music. Over time, the label has released recordings and contributed to the history of jazz and improvised music in Belgium, with a catalogue of over 400 references! Although the first Igloo releases were definitely far from being intended for mass consumption – soundscapes, improvised music – the merger with the LDH label in the early 80s led to it releasing its first jazz productions (and significant ones): Chet Baker, Philip Catherine, Jacques Pelzer, Michel Herr, Steve Houben and Charles Loos. All these names contributed to building the label’s reputation not only in Belgium but on the international scene. This enabled it to realise its primary ambition: to become a platform for future talents. The label’s philosophy has always been to promote diversity, allowing expressions of more marginal music to be heard and supported in a musical context that lives under the threat of standardization. So for 40 years the label has been recording, producing and promoting the music of its artists across the 5 continents!

Organizing dunk!festival since 2004. The festival for alternative music from all over the world started out as a one day festival but has grown to three days for the first time in 2011. Besides that we have our dunk!cinema, a festival for bands that are working with visuals. The event takes place in a local cinema. There is also dunk!chateau for smaller gigs with two or three bands. That usually takes place a few times a year in 'het kasteel van Egmont' in Zottegem.

Depuis 1988, nous proposons aux jeunes et moins jeunes des cours d'instrument individuels ou collectifs dans diverses disciplines telles que guitare, batterie, basse, chant, clavier,violon, des stages et des concerts d'élèves. Apprentissage de la musique Si l’Atelier Rock a voulu se dissocier des structures traditionnelles de l’apprentissage et du perfectionnement de la musique, c’est tout d’abord pour permettre aux musiciens de garder leur identité et leur spontanéité. Les enseignements classiques ou jazz tels qu’ils sont en place en Belgique, sont de grande qualité, mais parfois jugés trop rigides. En partant du constat que les musiciens des tendances actuelles sont en général autodidactes, il nous fallait trouver la juste solution pour combler le vide laissé par les institutions en place en développant étape par étape la création collective et favorisant la rencontre des élèves par des espaces d’expression. Nous avons en effet pris la décision, dès la création de l’Atelier, d’aller à la rencontre des envies et des besoins musicaux spécifiques au moyen de programmes adaptés. C’est l’opportunité de pratiquer et d’explorer la musique sous différentes facettes, aussi bien théoriques que pratiques. L’Atelier Rock, c’est une philosophie d'ouverture la plus large, au monde des nouvelles technologies et des musiques actuelles, chacun ayant la possibilité de travailler à son rythme le sujet musical qu’il a choisi par un apprentissage sérieux. Une autre part importante de l’expérience que souhaite vous apporter l’Atelier Rock réside dans le fait de pouvoir travailler avec des musiciens qui viennent de tous les styles musicaux, du rock à la variété en passant par le jazz. Cette diversité permettra de poser un regard différent sur la manière de pratiquer la musique. ConForte Symphonic (derived from 'cosy' in Esperanto) is a symphonic orchestra aimed at good amateur musicians. Based in Zemst, the orchestra performs various projects for a wide audience, conducted by Joris Verschueren. ConForte Symphonic (Esperanto voor 'gezellig') is een projectorkest gericht op goede amateurmuzikanten.
