Musik I Uppland
Stiftelsen Musik i Uppland är en regional musikorganisation i Uppsala med Region Uppsala som huvudman. Vår verksamhetsidé är att ge invånare i Uppsala län musikupplevelser med levande musik av högsta kvalitet. Det gör vi med anställda musiker och ett stort antal frilansande grupper och musiker. Våra ensembler är Uppsala Kammarorkester, Uppsala Kammarsolister, Linnékvintetten och Trio X. Musik i Uppland producerar hundratals konserter i olika genrer varje år och genomför dessa dels som egna arrangörer eller i samarbete med andra, dels till försäljning. I regionen ligger tyngdpunkten på den s.k. Konsertkarusellen och skolkonserter. Många av konserterna är förlagda i Uppsala Konsert & Kongress, där vi också är hyresgäster, bland annat två serier med orkester- och kammarmusik samt musiktävlingen Imagine. Flera av våra produktioner vänder sig direkt till barn och ungdomar, konserter och workshops. Våra ensembler besöker också regelbundet platser inom vård och omsorg för att ge konserter. Musik i Uppland stödjer och samarbetar med musikföreningar och andra institutioner i olika projekt och samarrangemang. Samt arbetar kontinuerligt med perspektiven jämställdhet, tillgänglighet och interkulturellt/internationellt. Den grundläggande tanken med Musik i Uppland är att alla människor i länet ska ha möjlighet att uppleva livs levande musik. På riktigt.

Oscar Soul Experience
OSCAR the EXPERIENCE, going for the roots Oscar and the Soul Experience recording an album with the Grammy winning producer Brady Blade, Joe Michaels and David Z. Oscar and the band will do a deep dive in to the roots of soul, jazz, funk and rock spending the spring of 2019 in Denver and New Orleans. Instead of going to the broken record label industry the project will be financed independently with own funds and investments from selected investors. This is an innovative approach where investors will be offered to buy shares of the master rights. Background Oscar Soul Experience is a young band from Stockholm. During two years of time they’ve toured intensively and completed a total of around 200 shows. With their music and live performance the band have already traveled to China, Finland, England, Hong Kong and New York City. The music is described as Old School Soul-funk played by young Swedes with musical influences spreading from Rock to Jazz. Oscar, the band leader loves artists like Sly and the family Stone, Bill Withers, Al Green, Prince, Stevie Wonder and D’angelo. During 2018 the band recorded their first songs together with Swedish soul artist and producer Eric Gadd along side engineer Andreas Dahlbäck. 4 singles were finalized in a couple of days. But now the band wanna leave their home land and head for something grander. In 2019 Oscar and the Soul Experience will make a full Album in the US. The Album will be co-produced by Brady, Joe and David through out the trip.
