We cover the local government and business in Hofu city and Tokudi, Yamaguchi city Japan. The first president, Jitsuo Yamazaki established our newspaper,"Kichinan Shinbun" in 1952 in Ogori town ( present Ogori, Yamaguchi city). In 1955, he moved from Ogori to Hofu. At that time it was called "Shin Hofu"("New Hofu"). In 1979, Mr. Yamazaki set up his corporation, and changed the title to "Hofu Nippo". After Mr.Yamazaki passed away in 1989, Koji Kubota become the second president. He served until 2012, when Yosuke Nawata became the third president. We support culture events such as the animated film "Mai Mai Miracle", about life in Hofu in 1955.
