Production plants and head office are located in Mikkeli, Eastern Finland. SWM-Wood Ltd employs total 20 professional in Finland and in sales office in Netherlands. ThermoWood® is a wood material produced by using ONLY natural methods, high temperature and steam. NO chemicals are used in the treatment. Thermowood® is an ecological alternative and fully recyclable product. Thermowood® is non-toxic, dimensionally stable, resistant to decay, resin free and it’s thermal insulation properties has improved. The wood is also colored throughout into a beautiful shade of brown. Thermowood® can be used outdoors and indoors, in any climates. Due improved decay resistant properties Thermowood® products are well suited to applications involving demanding weather conditions. Use in interior decoration is supported by the beautiful, hardwood-style look & feel and the dimensional stability of the product. A large portion of our products are made for export. We are the first company in our industry which has been granted the KOMO® product certificate. Our products have also been granted the PEFC™ certificate.
