Single Thread Theatre
Single Thread Theatre Company creates immersive theatre experiences in Canada and internationally that seek to advance the art of immersive storytelling through innovation and the presentation of new works. For the past two decades, Single Thread has played a role in shaping enthusiasm and best practices for site-responsive and immersive theatre in Canada and worked with hundreds of emerging and established theatre artists. Looking forward, Single Thread is developing immersive storytelling techniques as a teaching tool in Canadian schools through the Single Thread Education program. The company is also exploring the emerging medium of XR (augmented, virtual and mixed reality) as a means of telling stories to a broader audience through Single Thread XR. Single Thread will continue to pioneer immersive storytelling techniques in site-responsive, non- traditional spaces while exploring sustainable models of production which enable this work to connect audiences across Canada and around the world.

Founded in 2012, SkirtsAfire is Edmonton’s theatre and multidisciplinary arts organization featuring women. In conjunction with International Women’s Day, our 10 day programming runs each March at various venues in the city. As a regional not-for-profit opera company, Southern Ontario Lyric Opera (SOLO) seeks to advance the public’s appreciation and enjoyment of the arts by providing high-quality performances of classical operatic works. Talk Is Free Theatre (TIFT) has enjoyed over twenty years of developing and producing theatre in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, and around the world. Our mission, both in our home seasons and through our many touring endeavours, is to produce a range of cutting edge theatre works such as those that are typically only found in major urban centres, and to connect them with as wide an array of people as possible–especially with new, non-urban audiences. As for our home operations in Barrie, TIFT is Central Ontario’s only professional theatre company with a full, traditional autumn-through-spring season. Founded in 2002, our diversity of repertoire has included over 150 immersive experiences, off-centre musicals, reinterpretations of classics, and new works large and small–from a one-person show on a city bus to a major musical at the Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto–achieved through a nimble, entrepreneurial operating standard, striving every day to put artists first.

Toronto Irish Players
The Toronto Irish Players (TIP) was founded by a group of new Irish immigrants in 1975 and is Toronto’s only Irish community theatre group. Over the last 46 years, we have produced more than 91 plays, connecting Toronto’s Irish community and sharing Irish heritage with Toronto audiences by presenting classic and modern works from Irish playwrights. From the first performance of Kathleen Ni Houlihan at Toronto’s Caravan in 1975, TIP has striven to bring the numerous sides of Irish theatre to Toronto. Including multiple presentations of the works of Sean O’Casey (Shadow of a Gunman; Juno and the Paycock) and Brian Friel (Translations), to The Warrior Bard,(written by TIP member Jonathon Lynn) and James Joyce’s The Dead: The Musical, from The Patrick Pearse Motel to Bookworms, from The Hostage to Shining City. Forty five years have seen friendships forged and tested, bonds created, immigration and emigration, and more than one family has multiple generations become part of TIP, while we welcome new members every year. TIP has been recognized with a number of awards at the ACT_CO Theatre festival, Theatre Ontario Festival and Acting Irish International Theatre Festival. Even more meaningfully, TIP was named The Irish Person of the Year in 2013, a recognition of its longstanding contribution to the culture of the Irish community in Toronto. But the surest award, and the one that really keeps the company going is the reward of creating theatre together out of the endless well of memories, aspirations and prose and sharing that with the audience, so many of whom have been with us for many years on this journey. Presenting the plays to you that you enjoy (that keep you coming back again and again) and having the opportunity to chat with you in the lobby over a glass afterwards, is as much as any of us ask. Turn Around Projects Of The Arts Tap
Turn Around Projects of the Arts (TAP) is a non-profit organization with the mission to create integrated arts and leadership programs, which foster reciprocal exchange in order to impact and strengthen communities. Our Vision: Connecting Communities through the Arts Our Values: Arts, Education, Leadership & Community In September 2006, renowned Dub poet, Michael St. George was hired at Brock University in Canada, to teach a class called "Alternative Forms of Theatre". What became known as TAP grew out of the student's desire to work with Jamaican youth. The goal was to foster positive attitudes, generate change, and bring awareness of alternative ways of thinking. 2007: The Pilot Project is held in Jamaica! Brock students (18) implement an integrated arts program for over 100 Jamaican participants. TAP returns to Jamaica offering a Summer Arts Program from 2008-2013. 2008: TAP becomes a not-for-profit. Brock students (10) travel to Japan for the 2nd TAP Project. They experience the Japanese culture by home staying with the families of the participants. 2010 - 2012: TAP begins its 3rd Project in St. Catharines, Ontario. TAP artists are welcomed to The RAFT, a drop-in centre for youth ages 16-24, offering monthly professional artist sessions. 2011-2012: Artists travel to Sambhavna Trust Clinic in Bhopal, India, two years in a row to offer free arts programming to survivors of the 1984 chemical spill. The final product was a mural and is often used in marches and protests in the city. The team also spent time in Chingari Trust, a clinic which supports marginalized sections of Indian society including children, offering dynamic arts workshops. 2013: Jamaican participants decide to start their own local organization called TAP Jamaica. We have now focused on offering intensive training programs to the new Board of Directors of TAP Jamaica. Stay tuned for an upcoming TAP India project and more updates from our TAP Jamaica Team!

The West Island Theatre Association (WISTA) is a non-profit community theatre company founded in 2006, that allows individuals between the ages of 17 and 29 to interact and perform in the wonderful world of musical theatre. Our main goal is to keep alive the passions of an energetic combination of singers, dancers, technicians and musicians by giving them a space to grow and develop their skills. Winnipeg Jewish Theatre
Winnipeg Jewish Theatre was established in 1987 and is a non-profit, Canadian, professional theatre company. Bev Aronovitch served as the founding artistic director and was succeeded by Kayla Gordon, Mariam Bernstein, Michael Nathanson, Ari Weinberg and the current artistic director, Dan Petrenko. WJT began its life as a community theatre producing two plays a year. In 1992, WJT became a professional theatre company and a member of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres. WJT operates under the jurisdiction of the Canadian Theatre Agreement negotiated with Canadian Actors’ Equity Association.
