Ims Vintage Photos

Welcome to IMS Vintage Photos where we help in preserving history one picture at a time! IMS was founded as a picture agency on January 21st, 1946, and we started selling actual original vintage photographs to a global clientele from 2013. We are experts in the digitization process of physical photographs and we help newspaper archives in converting their physical prints into digital format. We assist them in setting their prints free for future generations to access and appreciate them and their historical value. The conversion process is a win-win situation as the archives receive the digitized formats while we sell the original pictures to whoever is interested in owning and caring for such valuable treasures! How this works: they send us the physical pictures, we scan them, keyword them and send back the digitized format. We then sell the original well preserved vintage press photographs to anyone interested in collecting a moment in history, purchasing an incredibly special present, or simply decorating their home or office. Ari Magg

Ari Magg was born in Iceland, and like most people who work in the visual arts, he is influenced by his roots. His characteristic style and vision is a reflection of the unique environment in the North Atlantic. He was only 19 when he started his professional career in photography, having learned the technical skills from his father, who is also a photographer. His obvious talents were quickly noticed and for the last two decades he has been the leading advertising photographer in Iceland. Professionally, he's has often worked in close collaboration with agencies to create a unique vision for clients. They include Motorola, General Electric, Campbell's, Vodafone, William Grant and Sons, Iceland Telecom, The National Bank of Iceland, 66° North and Icelandair, as well as editorial photo stories for various international magazines such as Monocle, Time Magazine, Wallpaper, I-D Magazine, The Sunday Times and Observer Magazine. Ari has held lectures and seminars in Sweden and Russia and held private exhibitions in Washington DC and St. Petersburg, Russia as well as in Reykjavík. Ari's work has been acknowledged with many awards for outstanding achievement in photography, receiving the European EPICA awards in 2005 and 2006 for this work for 66° North among other prestige awards. Ari owns and runs his studio and production company, Magg, in downtown Reykjavik but splits his time between Reykjavik and New York.

Kúla 3d

Kúla makes solutions for 3D photography with any camera. Kúla Deeper is for 3D photography with DSLR cameras and Kúla Bebe is for smartphones. Kúla images are stereoscopic and using Kúla's software they can be processed and converted to any 3D format preferred; for example to use with VR devices such as Google Cardboard or Oculus Rift, 3D viewers and even the old school anaglyph glasses.
