HYScale aims to produce green hydrogen in an economically efficient, durable, sustainable, and cost-effective manner. It stands out by eliminating the need for critical raw materials, making it more environmentally friendly. The EU-funded project will contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change by redefining the hydrogen production system. The Consortium is composed of Cutting-Edge Nanomaterials (CENMAT), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the Public Power Corporation of Greece (PPC), the Italian National Research Council (CNR), the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), the University of Ljubljana, HyGear, Meta Group, and Bekaert. The project is supported by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and its members. Funded by the European Union. International Multidisciplinary Neuroscience Research Centre Imnrc Asbl Vzw
The IMNRC is a private academic research institution - legally recognised in the Belgian Monitor since 2002 and based in Flanders, Belgium - that has acquired a strong international academic and political reputation in the field of Capacity Building (CB). CB can be understood in different ways. The meaning we ascribe to New CB is developing the human being’s potential to deal with the increasing complexities of an ever changing world. The IMNRC's scope of activities is quite vast: the New Capacity Building Programme (its Flagship Programme), the Education of Tomorrow, the Governance of Tomorrow, the Smart Cities of Tomorrow, the Science of Tomorrow, the Medicine of Tomorrow, its Interface Diagnostics Cabinet (IDC) that launches CWINs for complex cases, a very powerful investigation tool. The IMNRC is atypical and very avant-garde because it functions thanks to a vast international consortium, a worldwide web (or network) of collaborators. The IMNRC administrative and residential HQ located in Tervuren, near Brussels doesn't have any laboratories because it doesn't need them. Indeed, all the laboratory, medical, scientific and technological facilities are provided by the international consortium in their respective countries and locations. Instructions come from the IMNRC that monitors progress from afar. This kind of futuristic organisation would have not been possible without internet. The IMNRC offers three academic degrees: Bachelor in Interfaces, Master in Interfaces, Doctorate in Interfaces. The DI is equivalent to the combined medicine-science-arts doctoral degrees. ISCRAM stands for Information Systems for Crisis Response and Management, an acronym introduced at the first international ISCRAM Workshop which was held in Brussels in 2004. Established as an international non-profit in 2009, the ISCRAM Association promotes fundamental and applied research and the exchange of knowledge for the development and deployment of information systems for crisis response and management. ISCRAM researchers examine social and technical aspects related to the design, adoption, and use of information and communication technologies that support emergency and disaster mitigation, preparation, response, and recovery. The Light & Lighting Laboratory is a research group embedded in the Department of Electrical Engineering (ESAT) of KU Leuven and located on the Technology Campus Ghent. The main research topics are Indoor lighting, Optical design, Appearance & Perception and Metrology. Within each topic, PhD research activities, generating new knowledge, are combined with numerous development projects with lighting companies. The staff is involved in the regular educational program of the Faculty of Engineering Technology of KU Leuven (both Ba and Ma students) but also in dedicated courses for industry and society. Finally, the vast measurement infrastructure of the Light & Lighting Laboratory offers a lot of possibilities for product characterization for both research and industry. The Light & Lighting Laboratory is an active member of GLV, IBE-BIV and CIE and cooperates with several universities and more than 70 companies, especially SME.

Ramit Vzw Research In Advanced Medical Informatics And Telematics
RAMIT vzw is a non‐profit association established with the support of the State University of Ghent. The membership of RAMIT is restricted. Founding President is Prof Dr Georges J.E. De Moor and Directors are, amongst others, the Rector of the Gent University and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine (both qualitate qua). The working‐team in RAMIT is multidisciplinary: medical doctors, engineers, informaticians, statisticians and secretarial staff. Recent activities include successful national, European and International projects dealing with e.g. electronic medical record systems, health statistics, bioinformatics association studies, decision support systems, electronic health data interchange, eHealth standardization and interoperability, security, natural language processing and computer assisted instruction in medicine. RAMIT has participated successfully in more than 90 National and International R&D projects (often in a co‐ordinating capacity) in both the framework of EU‐Research Programmes (since the second EC Framework Programme) and of national R&D Programmes. RAMIT’s R&D activities resulted in the creation of five spin‐offs. Being an experienced coordinator of (many) EU funded projects, it has implemented a set of online tools to support the Online Collaborating Spaces.

The KU Leuven Institute for Sustainable Metals and Minerals (SIM²) is a world-leading, interdisciplinary research institute committed to supporting the transition to a climate-friendly, circular economy by performing in-depth scientific research and future-oriented education with respect to the eco-friendly production and recycling of metals and minerals. SIM² is one of the flagship KU Leuven Institutes formally endorsed by the KU Leuven Academic Council. SIM²'s mission is "to develop, organise and implement problem-driven, science-deep research and future-oriented education, contributing to the environmentally friendly production and recycling of metals, minerals and engineered materials, supporting the transition to a climate-friendly, circular-economy." SIM² KU Leuven therefore designs, researches and exploits selective and efficient processes for the exploration, extraction, recovery, recycling and refining of (base and critical) metals and minerals, as well as for the upcycling of primary and secondary resources and the re- and demanufacturing of End-of-Life complex metal-containing products. SIM² KU Leuven assesses and advances the environmental gains and the economic feasibility of the developed flow sheets. In order to support the Social License to Operate for the associated industrial activities, SIM² KU Leuven pro-actively engages with external stakeholders, including civil society groups and local communities. SIM² KU Leuven also assesses the potential health and environmental impacts of (primary) mining activities to support the transition to responsible mining. SIM² unites more than 200 researchers at KU Leuven in a genuinely interdisciplinary setting.

Spongescapes
SpongeScapes accelerates scientific knowledge on solutions that improve the sponge functioning of soil, groundwater, and surface water systems, with the aim to improve the resilience of European landscapes against extreme events such as floods and droughts. This is done by strategically employing natural water retention measures, effectively restoring and improving the water cycle. This project is led by Deltares and brings together 10 European partners along with local stakeholders linked to 14 case studies. SpongeScapes is dedicated to enhancing the knowledge database on nature-based solutions, refining techniques for monitoring and modeling and applying these solutions across different geographical landscapes. It is also evaluating how individual 'sponge measures' function and assessing the approaches to develop comprehensive 'sponge strategies' at larger scale. SpongeScapes is a partnership between Deltares (NL), International Office for Water (FR), Leibniz University Hannover (DE), University of Padova (IT), University of Ljubljana (SI), Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (SI), Warsaw University of Life Sciences (PL), WWF (GR), Etifor (IT) and UK Centre For Ecology & Hydrology (UK), who will work closely together with their local stakeholder partners of the 14 case studies SpongeScapes is funded under European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme, Grant Agreement No and supported by UKRI/HM Government.

Naast de expertise op het vlak van sport & bewegen omvat het ook onderzoeksgroepen in domeinen zoals digitaal ontwerp, mobiele speltoepassingen, industrieel productontwerp, toegepaste informatica, ergotherapie of toegepaste gezondheidswetenschappen. De ambitie van het Living Lab bestaat eruit om de brug te slaan tussen bedrijven & organisaties; studenten, docenten & werkveldpartners; en de eindgebruiker met de focus op praktijkgerichte toepassingen binnen de markt van laagdrempelig sporten en bewegen. Dankzij de directe link met de consument en de producent wordt het creatieve potentieel beter benut en vermarkting gestimuleerd. Concreet wordt een nieuw product/dienst binnen de beweeghal community na de ontwikkelingsfase die op de principes van co-creatie berust, grondig getest door de verschillende doelgroepen. Om de relevantie van de output te maximaliseren worden gebruikers tijdens deze testperiode professioneel begeleid en gecoacht. Dankzij de nauwe betrokkenheid van Sport Vlaanderen wordt de valorisatie maximaal ondersteund. Bovendien vormt de Sportinnovatiecampus een unieke hub voor het communiceren van de mogelijkheden alsook voor het dissemineren van succesverhalen. Het Steunpunt Diversiteit & Leren (SDL), verbonden aan de Vakgroep Taalkunde van de Universiteit Gent, biedt een wetenschappelijk onderbouwde ondersteuning met betrekking tot het thema ‘Omgaan met diversiteit’. SDL beschouwt dit thema als een belangrijke hefboom om onze pluralistische en democratische samenleving te versterken en sociale rechtvaardigheid te bevorderen. Volgens het SDL is het erkennen en benutten van diversiteit immers een voorwaarde voor effectieve interactie en communicatie tussen onderling verschillende groepen en individuen. SDL biedt het onderwijs, maar ook andere sectoren, dan ook ondersteuning om de talenten van iedereen, ongeacht hun identiteit en achtergrond, maximaal te helpen ontplooien en op die manier gelijke leerkansen te scheppen. We see renewability in the broadest sense with recycling of petroleum-based polymers also considered to be a renewable feedstream.
