Surewave
Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or [name of the granting authority]. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them. SUREWAVE will develop and test an innovative concept of a Floating Photo-Voltaic (FPV) system consisting of an external floating breakwater structure acting as a protection against severe wave-wind-current loads on the FPV modules, allowing increased operational availability and energy output, thus unlocking the massive deployment of Offshore FPV. It will be focused on the research for securing optimal behavior at aero & hydrodynamic and structural integrity level of the external breakwater, the internal FPV modular structure, the connections, the mooring and anchoring, and the whole FPV system complying with mechanical, electrical (maximizing energy output) and cost-efficiency requirements, ensuring high lifetime of critical components, high reliability of the system and easy, quick and cost-efficient, construction, installation and O&M of the whole system. This will require: 1) the development of novel circular concrete material solutions for the breakwater, cost-effective, easy to produce and with high mechanical, physical and durability properties and low CO2 footprint. 2) the development of an advanced predictive computational modeling and simulation framework: coupled aero & hydrodynamic modeling, Structural integrity modeling, material properties modeling and Structural Health Management to reduce CAPEX and OPEX; 3) the design and implementation of an optimal testing and validation methodology for offshore FPV system to achieve TRL5, including lab testing, basin-model testing and marine environment testing of critical components assuring high resilience to corrosion and biofouling.

Aiashi
Volume, velocity, and variety describe information assets. But other dimensions, such as veracity, variability, and value, are essential. This requires new mathematical frameworks, scientific procedures, automated analysis, and learning methods to manage Big Data growth and complexity. We are AIASHI, Artificial Intelligence as Human Intelligence, a research project at Liege University, and we believe that "without human intelligence, artificial intelligence is meaningless." We develop novel analytics based on a new ML and NLP core process to unlock the potential of information to drive decision-making. We innovate in efficiently analyzing hierarchical and temporal structures and correlations among topics, entities, events, and relationships using advanced unsupervised learning techniques for topic detection, emerging weak trends analysis, scenario building, document classification, and social network profiling. We leverage massive volumes of heterogeneous data in unstructured text, audio, video, and social media formats. Benefits for organizations: • Strategic and operational decision-making • Weak signal detection and scenario building • Risks and opportunities management • Unsupervised topics discovery and profiling, incl. OSINT • Real-time analysis of hierarchical, temporal, and relationship between topics/entities/events • Disclosing explicit and implicit relationships between topics and entities • Easy iterative reformulation of the research question • Ease of scaling: processing large datasets across distinct domains • Organically expand the work capacity Our current use cases cover the following: • Corporate strategic intelligence analysis • (Cyber)security • Document classification and management, taxonomy • Healthcare and life sciences • Fintech

Compact Project
COMPACT has the mission is to empower Local Public Administrations (LPAs) to become main actors of their cyber resilience improvement process. Cyber threats are the most significant and growing risk for public administrations. However, technological, organisational and structural issues hamper the ability, especially for local LPAs to improve their cyber security level. Budget constraints and evolving legal, ethical, societal and privacy regulations render the situation even more complex. COMPACT’s objectives are to: • increase awareness, skills and protection; • foster information exchange between European LPAs; • link LPAs to major EU initiatives This project receives funding from the EU_H2020 Research & Innovation Programme under grant agreement 740712. Any related posts reflect only the views of the project owner.

Symbiose Innovation
Symbiose Innovation is a collaborative hub designed to accelerate translational innovation in rare diseases. Our mission is to connect the actors who rarely have the opportunity to meet such as researchers, clinicians, patients, innovators, and industry partners, and to support them from the earliest stages of discovery to real-world patient impact. Across the rare disease ecosystem, knowledge is rich but scattered, and pathways between fundamental research, clinical practice, and innovation remain fragmented. By combining a digital collaborative platform with specialized support services, Symbiose Innovation provides an integrated solution to bridge these gaps. Our platform offers an intelligent mapping of expertise, solutions, projects, and collaboration opportunities. Through an AI-powered conversational agent, users can identify relevant experts, discover ongoing initiatives, explore funding opportunities, and initiate meaningful connections across the innovation continuum. To complement these first insights, our Explorer, Pilot and Communicate services provide the depth and structure needed to turn connections into impactful collaborations. We conduct ecosystem analyses, build tailored consortia, design governance frameworks, support operational coordination, and help increase the visibility and legitimacy of promising solutions. By uniting scientific, clinical, technological and patient-driven perspectives, Symbiose Innovation strengthens translational pathways and fosters a culture of collaboration. Our goal is simple: ensure that promising ideas progress more rapidly, more safely, and more efficiently toward the people who need them.
