MML applies high-throughput quantum chemical modelling, Artificial Intelligence (AI) heuristics and state-of-the-art electron microscopy to the study and development of life science immunointerventions and drug design. Quantum Immunology, MML’s flagship initiative, addresses how quantum mechanics translate into receptor-antigen triggering and how this knowledge may be applied to the therapy of infectious diseases, immune disorders, neurological conditions and aging. MML also combines theoretical modelling and Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) to optimize drug design through the detection of new polymorphic crystal structures and the analysis of pharmaceutical Amorphous Solid Dispersion (ASD) dynamics. Mithilfe eines umfassenden Fragebogens können Wähler/innen herausfinden, welche Kandidierenden oder Parteien ihnen am nächsten stehen. smartmonitor – Transparenz nach der Wahl: Während smartvote sich um eine verbesserte Transparenz im Vorfeld von Wahlen bemüht, zielt der smartmonitor – das zweite grosse Politools-Projekt – darauf ab, Informationen zum parlamentarischen Geschehen im Rahmen eines systematischen Monitorings bereitzustellen. Darüber hinaus engagiert sich Politools im Bereich der politischen Bildung im Rahmen von E-Democracy- und Forschungsprojekten (Projekte & Dienstleistungen), immer mit dem Ziel vor Augen, eine einfache und verständliche Darstellung von Politik zu unterstützen und politisch Interessierten wissenschaftlich aufbereitete Informationen für ihre Entscheidungsfindung anzubieten. Politools zählt zurzeit rund 40 Mitglieder (von Student/innen bis zu Professoren) aus den Bereichen Politik, Wirtschafts, Rechts- und Geschichtswissenschaft sowie der Geografie, der Informatik und dem Bereich Design. Politools besteht seit 2004 als nicht gewinnorientierter Verein „Politools – Political Research Network“ nach Art. 60ff. des Schweizerischen Zivilgesetzbuchs (ZGB) mit Sitz in Bern.
