Committee For Justice Cfj
The Committee for Justice (CFJ) is an independent, Geneva-based human rights organization established in 2015. Our mission is to defend the rights of victims of human rights violations, with a specific geographic focus on North Africa and the Sahel region. We work to expose injustice, promote accountability, and support legal reform by documenting violations, providing legal and technical assistance to victims and their families, and engaging in national, regional, and international advocacy. Since its founding, CFJ has positioned itself as a key actor in the international human rights movement, especially in contexts marked by authoritarianism, conflict, or systemic abuse. We maintain a strong presence before United Nations human rights bodies and mechanisms, the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR), and other international institutions. Our documentation work is grounded in rigorous methodology and aims to support victims in accessing justice, whether through international litigation, national accountability frameworks, or transitional justice processes. CFJ also manages a multilingual digital platform and database that monitors and reports on patterns of repression, particularly targeting civil society, journalists, human rights defenders, and political prisoners. Our work is grounded in partnerships with local civil society actors and lawyers across the region to ensure that documentation and advocacy are victim-centered, context-sensitive, and informed by realities on the ground. In recent years, CFJ has played a leading role in highlighting issues such as enforced disappearances, torture, arbitrary detention, and transnational repression. We are committed to amplifying local voices, building capacities for legal resistance, and pushing for structural change that guarantees non-repetition. Through its evidence-based approach, strategic litigation, and international engagement, CFJ remains dedicated to ensuring that justice is not a distan

Swiss School Of Archaeology In Greece
Since 1964, Swiss archaeologists have been excavating and studying the remains of the ancient city of Eretria, on the island of Euboea, in cooperation with the Greek archaeological authorities. In 1975, the Swiss Archaeological Mission received the official title of Swiss School of Archaeology in Greece. It is the only permanent Swiss archaeological project outside Switzerland. Storyline Its main goals are to develop the cultural relations between Greece and Switzerland, to promote archaeological and historical projects in Greece, in particular on the site of Eretria, to protect and develop the ancient remains and to encourage the training of young archaeologists. The Swiss School enables numerous professors, scholars and students from Swiss universities to enter into close contact with the historical and archaeological past of Greece, as well as the country’s current realities. Research activities take place mainly on the island of Euboea, and in particular in the territory of the ancient polis of Eretria, but the School also endorses Swiss archaeological projects elsewhere in Greece. Both a training and a research center, the School also encourages professional careers in classical archaeology. More than 30 master theses and doctoral dissertations on Eretrian subjects have been completed in the last decade. Each year students from Swiss universities can take part in field projects (excavations and surveys) and museum studies (pottery and other artefacts).

Bgee, A Gene Expression Database
Bgee is a database at SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics and University of Lausanne to retrieve and compare gene expression patterns in multiple animal species, produced from multiple data types (RNA-Seq, Affymetrix, in situ hybridization, and EST data) and from multiple data sets (including GTEx data). SIMPLY NORMAL Bgee is based exclusively on curated "normal", healthy, expression data (e.g, no gene knock-out, no treatment, no disease), to provide a comparable reference of normal gene expression. COMPARABLE BETWEEN SPECIES Bgee produces calls of presence/absence of expression, and of differential over-/under-expression, integrated along with information of gene orthology, and of homology between organs. This allows comparisons of expression patterns between species.*To see the original sources of images used in the Bgee LinkedIn page, please visit https://bgee.org and check the bottom of this page. Computer Vision Laboratory Eth Zurich
The Computer Vision Laboratory, ETH Zurich, works on the computer-based interpretation of 2D and 3D image data sets from conventional and non-conventional image sources. The computer vision lab performs research in the fields of Medical Image Analysis and Visualization, Object Recognition, Gesture Analysis, Tracking, and Scene Understanding and Modeling We treat the complete cycle from signals to their interpretation, and to the resulting action. It is our objective to develop universal concepts and methods. In order to meet these challenges, we want to keep our finger at the pulse of international, ongoing research. Therefore, we operate in the context of many collaborations with other labs and many European projects. This said, it simultaneously is our strategy to let difficult, real-world applications drive our research and development. We see collaboration with industry as an important plus for an engineering lab like ours. The groups in CVL are led by Prof. Luc Van Gool, Prof. Ender Konukoglu and Prof. Orçun Göksel.

Dart Llui
Data Analytics & Rehabilitation Technology (DART) is an academic research lab generating clinical evidence from large-scale behavioral health data derived from continuous sensor-based, clinical, and contextual measurements. We use these data to enable precision medicine by linking individual behavioral signatures to adaptive, closed-loop health intervention strategies. We study conditions where health outcomes are highly variable and population-level approaches fail to capture individual needs. By modeling behavior continuously and at scale, we aim to predict how health trajectories are shaped at the individual level and to derive personalized intervention strategies that respond to moment-to-moment behavior and clinical context. DART works in close partnership with clinical partners to translate these models into deployable, personalized rehabilitation and prevention approaches. Our technology-first research environment integrates real-world data acquisition, analytics, and intervention design within tight development and clinical feedback loops. These efforts are supported by integrated technology and data platforms, access to unique real-world and clinical health datasets, and scalable on-premises computing infrastructure for model development. This enables systematic evaluation of personalized interventions in clinically relevant settings and supports the generation of robust, generalisable evidence for next-generation precision medicine. By reducing unexplained inter-individual variability in rehabilitation outcomes, DART’s work aims to strengthen the evidence base for precision medicine and contribute to more effective, efficient, and equitable healthcare delivery.

Neuroengineering Lab
We focus on the development of knowledge and tools for treatment of neurologically disabled (amputees and diabetics) persons, based on the deep understanding achieved through the computational modeling of nervous system interaction with electric field. To achieve these goals we are acting in an extremely interdisciplinary environment, composed of work in hardware, physics, programming, physiological and clinical expertise. In particular we develop mechatronic systems directly interfacing the environment with the residual nervous system, and we investigate different type of coding (“neuronal language”) through direct injection of the current above amputation or damage. We also work closely with collaborators in the animal and human testing of these systems. Main application areas are the fields of assistive devices, rehabilitation and bioelectronics medicine. The Lab is headed by Prof. Dr. Stanisa Raspopovic
