Ep Permed - The European Partnership For Personalised Medicine
The vision of the European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (EP PerMed) is to improve health outcomes within sustainable healthcare systems through research, development, innovation and implementation of personalised medicine approaches for the benefit of patients, citizens, and society. A major activity towards this goal will be the active support of PM-related research and innovation projects. In this context, EP PerMed will fund Joint Transnational Calls for Research Proposals, act as global PM-platform for scientific and strategic dialogue and alignment, facilitate and accelerate all steps of implementation through the full value continuum, so that PM achievements can be successfully implemented and foster demonstration projects and promote successes and lessons learned to demonstrate evidence of PM implementation. Der Forschungsverbund Mecklenburg Vorpommern e.V.(FMV) arbeitet seit 1995 in unterschiedlichen Projekten mit Wissenschaftlern aus Hochschulen und Forschungseinrichtungen zusammen. Forwind - Center For Wind Energy Research
ForWind, the Center for Wind Energy Research of the Universities of Oldenburg, Hannover and Bremen, combines scientific know-how with research geared towards the industry. ForWind bundles the competencies of the three universities and is an adept industry contact. The center conducts fundamental research in wind energy, providing independent scientific cooperation in industry-oriented projects and organizing the education, and further education, of future experts. ForWind was founded in 2003 through the support of the Ministry for Science and Culture of Lower Saxony. Since then, wind energy researchers at the Universities of Oldenburg and Hannover have worked together in cooperation. In 2009, the University of Bremen joined as a new partner. This event significantly widened the research spectrum, forming a partnership of research unique at a national level. Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML is the partner of choice for integrated logistics research. It works in all fields of internal and external logistics. In keeping with the Fraunhofer concept, solutions to problems for immediate use in business are developed on the one hand, but initial research is also conducted on the other hand for periods of two to five years, in some cases even longer. Currently 334 scientists as well as 250 doctoral candidates and students work at the institute founded in 1981, supported by colleagues in workshops, laboratories and service departments. Teams assembled according to project and customer requirements create cross-industry and customer-specific solutions, among other things in the field of materials handling, business process modelling, transportation systems and resource logistics. Other current research focal points include artificial intelligence, smart finance, and the Internet of Things, which is coordinated by the institute throughout the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. Fraunhofer IML is also working on the implementation of a decentralized, federal, and open platform economy in Germany and Europe with the Silicon Economy major research project. The general management of the Fraunhofer Transport Alliance, bundling the traffic and transportation expertise of 15 Fraunhofer institutes, is also located in Dortmund. Furthermore, Fraunhofer IML is a key supporter of the “Digital Hub Logistics” providing room for start-up initiatives to develop digital products and business models.
