Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute
The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute was founded in 2010, by the Josep Carreras Foundation and the Government of Catalonia, as the first European research centre devoted exclusively to leukaemia and other malignant blood diseases, and one of the few that exist in the world. We investigate basic, epidemiological, preventive, clinical, and translational aspects of leukaemia and other hematologic malignancies. Our research aims to identify new therapeutic targets and enable us to develop more precise and less aggressive treatments. We aspire to understand the origin and development of leukaemias and other malignant haematological pathologies, to be able to prevent them. We work for a future in which all leukaemias will be curable. Our fight will endure until there's a cure.

P-Cmr C Program For Clinical Translation Of Regenerative Medicine In Catalonia
The Program for advancing the Clinical Translation of Regenerative Medicine of Catalonia, P-CMR[C], has been launched by the Center for Regenerative Medicine (CMR[B]) and the Biomedical Research Institute of Bellvitge (IDIBELL), at the behest of the Catalan Health Department of the Generalitat de Catalonia. P-CMR[C] was born with the aim to have a transformative impact on the way that basic, pre-clinical and clinical research in regenerative medicine are currently coordinated and eventually transferred to clinical practice in Catalonia. We are a comprehensive program where basic research, pre-clinical studies with new therapies and clinical trials with already existing therapies, coexist. MISSION Our mission is to accelerate the implementation of strategies in Regenerative Medicine through the development of outstanding research projects addressed to solving medical needs that can be transferred to the clinical practice.

The VISAVET Health Surveillance Centre is a centre for research support and teaching belonging to the Complutense University of Madrid. The field work of VISAVET includes the following areas- Animal Health - Public Health - Food Safety - Environment The general aims of the Center are Research and Training, together with technology transfer and activities of scientific and technical advice, within the areas mentioned above and aimed to the public and private sector. To achieve these objectives the VISAVET Center- Participate and co-ordinate R&D projects - Transfer the scientific advances to public and private sectors - Advise companies and governments together with scientific and technological support - Organize training courses and scientific and technical stays, for both students and professionals nationally and internationally - Develop outreach activities to bring science closer to the society The Centre's expertise has been endorsed, among other achievements, through accreditation by ENAC according to ISO 17025 and its designation of its laboratories and reference laboratories worldwide for different diseases. VISAVET Centre has laboratories located in different areas of biological containment, designed and built to work with infectious agents at risk, in a completely safe for staff working in them and the community around them. VISAVET has a Biosafety level 3 Area or BSL-3 with BSL-3 biosafety laboratories and BSL-3 necropsy room working with biological agents listed in Risk Group 3 (former OIE List A). This area has also a ABSL-3 animal facilities with three individual boxes with air conditioning and independent access to allow the simultaneous performance of different assays and controls.
