The Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IMBB) is based in Heraklion (Crete), and is conducting basic and applied research in established and emerging areas of Biomedical science. IMBB was founded in 1983 and is part of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH), one of the largest research centers in Greece. The FAME lab was founded in 2008 to study the (F)unctional (A)rchitecture of (M)ammals in their (E)nvironment. Our group is part of the University of Thessaly School of Exercise Science and it currently consists of 15 researchers employed full-time as well as >10 graduate students. To date, we have participated in >10 EU-funded projects, we have published >100 research publications, and have presented our work in >200 international conferences. We also disseminate our work through twitter, facebook, and youtube.

VROOM is a non-profit organisation founded by students of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, focused on developing autonomous driving solutions for scale vehicles. Currently, we are participating -for the fifth time in a row- in the Bosch Future Mobility Challenge organised by the Bosch Engineering Center in Cluj Napoca, Romania. Our ultimate goal is the promotion of research on autonomous driving in academia. This year, the team achieved 1st place in BFMC 2024 with its upgraded vehicle and fully reconfigurable autonomous driving solutions! Every big or small success we had in the competition has led us to this- from achieving 3rd place in 2021, our first year participating, to coming up in 2nd place the next year. This year we are thrilled to be a part of the 8th edition of the BFMC competition, well-equipped and bigger than ever, with both of our teams participating: the A-BFMC and our Junior, Drift Team!

The Biomedical Engineering Laboratory (BEL), which is established in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the NTUA, completed, in 2017, twenty seven years of scientific activity. BEL is at the forefront of innovating and translating technologies to benefit healthcare for everyone. BEL assumed the presidency of e-Health Forum 2014, which was organized under the auspices of the Greek EU Presidency in cooperation with the European Commission, and was one of the founders of HL7 Hellas. These activities cover a wide range of Basic and Applied Research in specialized Biomedical Engineering fields, focusing on the development of applicable end-products. The main research areas of BEL's expertise include: Medical Data Management Systems, Medical Informatics, Telemedicine, Biorheology - Clinical Hemorheology, Neural Networks in Medicine and Healthcare, Biosensors, Virtual Reality in Medicine and Healthcare, Radiation-Tissue Interaction, Ultrasound Technology as well as Biosignal and Medical Image Processing.
