Network Industries
The aim of network-industries.org is to keep you updated about both the technological and institutional (regulatory) changes that the old and the new network industries are undergoing before our eyes. On the website you will find our quarterly publication, relevant policy-briefs as well as opportunities for publishing, announcements for conferences along with calls for papers, contacts and many other useful information. Network-Industries.org is our main tool for communicating worldwide. We cover the traditional network industries in the areas of transport, energy, communications, water and wastewater. These industries were shaped over the past 30+ years by processes of privatisation, de-regulation and re-regulation. As of the past 10 years, profound technological transformations, especially digitalisation, have furthermore transformed these traditional network industries and have given rise to a new type of network industries, namely digital platforms. These, in turn, call for new and innovative ways of regulation. The Transport Area of the Florence School of Regulation (FSR Transport) at the European University Institute manages the network-industries.org website and co-edits the Network Industries Quarterly. The Network Industries Quarterly is the result of collaboration between FSR Transport, the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and Istanbul Technical University. Each issue provides consistent original analysis, information and opinions on current issues regarding network industries. We currently distribute to over persons, most of whom we have come to know personally at some point over the past years. FSR Transport is dedicated to policy dialogue, policy-relevant research, training, and networking in the area of transport regulation in Europe. It is concerned with the regulation of all modes of transport and a wide range of other topics related to digital and sustainable mobility.

Osservatorio Astronomico Di Teramo - Inaf

Venice International University
We coordinate, support, and organize joint academic and research activities among the member universities, and through partnerships and funded projects. The VIU campus is on the island of San Servolo, Venice, Italy. The mission of VIU is to foster cooperation among VIU member institutions while facilitating the exchange of knowledge and ideas, by developing, promoting and organising joint academic, research and training/capacity-building programmes. VIU thereby contributes to, and is an integral part of the internationalisation strategies of the member organisations. Universities today must play a strategic role in addressing the new global challenges: sustainable development, climate change and energy, food and water security, urban growth, welfare, ageing populations, global ethics, protection of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, human rights, equality, democratization, peace and conflict and global governance. Some of these critical global issues can be predicted, others arise unexpectedly and suddenly, and traditional training is not necessarily the best way to find solutions. The programs at VIU brings together talented, motivated students from the member universities in a truly multicultural, international and interdisciplinary environment. Students enjoy a powerful learning experience in which they develop their capacity for critical thinking, working across disciplines, creatively embracing new ideas. One of the advantages is to be in Venice, a living laboratory in a fragile environment with a remarkable cultural heritage where students and professors can directly experience and become aware of some of the common challenges. Since its foundation in 1995, VIU has increasingly worked to promote the research triangle of stakeholders – industry, academia and government – through research projects, advanced training programs targeting professionals and policy-makers and internships for university students.
