National Pandemic Center Npc
Founded in March 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, the National Pandemic Centre exclusively performed over PCR-based analyses (not serological / antibody-based) of Covid-19 samples (see details below). NPC has since ceased operations of high throughput PCR diagnostics on 2020-12-21. In addition to the PCR-based analysis, the National Pandemic Centre commenced the high-throughput genetic sequencing of different variants of SARS-CoV-2 during the autumn of 2020. Today, whole genome sequencing of the virus is the primary objective for the center. NPC works closely with 16 different regions in Sweden and the Public Health Agency (Folkhälsomyndigheten) to assist in the National task and strategy for increased surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 variants.

Trade And Business Research
Francis Bacon stated that “knowledge is power”. Knowledge empowers because when we have accurate information before we make a decision, risks decrease. Crucial information might as well make us change our minds. Businesspeople do not usually have the time to do research, as they have many other responsibilities. We do the research so you can do business.

Iypt Sweden
Is it possible for high school students to perform cutting-edge research? Every day at IYPT Sweden we prove that to be true. We are an organization dedicated to letting young, talented high school students become part of a research group that works with investigating yet unsolved problems within as diverse areas as granular mechanics, fluid dynamics, and magnetostatics. Every year we deal with 17 new research areas, working together in a team consisting of high school students, professional researchers, engineers and natural scientists, to push the boundary of the fantastic world of physics. Getting started is easy, anyone with interest in physics, technology or science can contact us, and we will provide a mentor that will take you on a journey to see the real depth of physics that is even beyond your wildest dreams. Together with students from all over the country, you will work toward the singular purpose of solving your problem and advancing our common understanding of the underlying mechanism that controls our world. A year of effort leads to the Swedish National Competition in which the best and brightest from all over will meet up and critically discuss each other’s research, leading to that the top five students will be selected to represent the entire group at an international physics conference in which the investigation of the past year will be debated, exchanging ideas and interest across borders.

Mistra Inframaint
Mistra InfraMaint is a research programme focusing on smart maintenance. Our vision is a sustainable infrastructure that is safe and available around the clock. Effective and smart maintenance The programme’s focus is on permission assessments, forecasts and decision support for investments, financing and business models as well as how municipal processes and organisations can be developed to best meet the major investment needs facing society. Creating an infrastructure for the future We have built a strong consortium with researchers from institutes and academic institutions. Participating municipalities are especially important for the programme. Senior researchers are supplemented with doctoral students who will largely work in the municipal organisations. This means that research is based on needs and that municipalities have increased opportunity to absorb new research. We want to halve the competence shortage Competence requirements are high. The Mistra InfraMaint programme aims to halve the competence shortage. That makes knowledge sharing a very important part of the programme. We plan for both seminars and web-based educational sections, as well as developing new approaches and methods to make knowledge more accessible and the area maintenance more attractive. Programme period: 2018–2022 Financing: In total 80 M SEK. Mistra, the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research, contributes 49 M SEK. Other funding comes from participating organisations. Programme hosted by: RISE, Research Institutes of Sweden AB Programme director: Annika Malm, RISE
