The Analytisches Forschungsinstitut für Non-Target Screening GmbH (AFIN-TS GmbH) offers support, training, as well as direct analysis and research in the field of instrumental analysis and so-called non-target screening (NTS). The focus of our work is on the holistic development and use of different chromatographic techniques (such as GC, HILIC, RPLC and SFC) and mass spectrometry (MS like quadrupol, IT, ToF and Orbitrap), especially in the area of NTS and MS structural analysis of molecules in customer samples. Adapting the strategies (we developed) to specific questions, it is possible to offer customers tailor-made solutions answering their questions with NTS and/or polarity-extended chromatography. With our training and further education offers, we give you the opportunity to learn how NTS strategies are further developed and thus sustainably be used.

The Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) explores the dynamic relationship between the Internet and society and contributes to a growing international field of research from various disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives. The HIIG research agenda highlights the increasing interpenetration of digital infrastructures and everyday life. It is our common goal to study the ongoing transformation of the Internet and its services, with an emphasis on critical moments and structural shifts. The HIIG serves as a platform for researchers on Internet and society primarily and encourages the co-operative development of projects, applications and research networks. Through a variety of formats the institute shares its research with the interested public including politicians, business and civil society. The three founding associates – the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, the University of Arts Berlin and the Social Science Research Center Berlin, in alliance with the Hans-Bredow Institute for Media Research in Hamburg as an integrated co-operation partner – enable multilayer perspectives of the Institute by focusing on technological and legal perspectives as well as on sociological, economical and artistic aspects.

What does Campace do? We explore the possibilities and the potential of complementary and alternative medicine with the aim of making it available to everyone. Currently, we are focussing on homeopathy. For this purpose, we develop research concepts, award research contracts, publish relevant results and train expert groups. As soon as we’ve collected sufficiently reliable hard facts, we support implementation of these therapy methods locally and abroad. What does Campace mean? CAM is an acronym for "complementary and alternative medicine". Pace is a multi-layered expression and a reflection of our approach to our research. At its centre it stands for patient-centered, which means that we align our research to the needs of patients. Why are we here? We wish to achieve fairer medicine. We want to provide everyone with access to effective therapies, regardless of their economic, social or regional backgrounds. We are linked through basic values and beliefs, such as our faith in humans working together successfully, our awareness of what CAM can do for the benefit of patients and the idea of efficient, safe and sustainable open-source medicine. Our research uses cutting-edge technologies, supported by inspired, inquiring minds that help to fulfil our objectives. How do we do research? By using state-of-the-art technologies and findings, we can subsequently apply alternative medical methods in even more effective and economical ways. Essentially, we apply in-vitro methods to examine the impact of different medicines on human cell lines. Further we are collaborating with other research groups to review the possible alternatives to antibiotic treatment to help find solutions to the growing problem of antimicrobial resistance. The Einstein Forum is a foundation of the German federal state of Brandenburg that serves the public as an open laboratory of the mind. Through a varied program of conferences, workshops, podium discussions, and lectures it brings together original thinkers from all over the world to test new ideas—and interrogate conventional ones—with a general audience. Topics span the arts and humanities, natural and social sciences, ethics and politics. Whatever the subject, speakers are urged to think outside traditional academic boundaries. Our multidisciplinary emphasis encourages dialogue not only among experts from different fields but also, and just as importantly, between specialists and the public at large. Underlying the Einstein Forum’s programming, along with the books and articles published by our staff, is an abiding belief that thinking has a purpose besides advancing scholarly and scientific knowledge. In sum, artificial intelligence will augment human cognition by dealing with complexity using artificial reasoning. It is the mission of Elements of Euclid to translate complexity into mathematical terms thereby making it approachable to data based analyses and reasonable influence. We are a mathematical think tank and business incubator working on complexity and AI-augmented cognition. Driven by our mission we offer: as a think tank an active and economically independent academic community to scientists from various fields. as a business incubator mathematical innovations and consulting on topics like data science, particularly data driven optimization, machine learning, e.g. deep learning and AI to companies and startups.

Environmental Eu Project
The environMENTAL project will investigate how some of the greatest global environmental challenges, climate change, urbanisation, and psychosocial stress caused by the COVID-19-pandemic affect mental health over the lifespan. It will identify their underlying molecular mechanisms and develop preventions and early interventions. Leveraging cohort data of over 1.5 million European citizens and patients enriched with deep phenotyping data from large scale behavioural neuroimaging cohorts, we will identify brain mechanisms related to environmental adversity underlying symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress and substance abuse. By linking population and patient data via geo-location to spatiotemporal environmental data derived from remote sensing satellites, climate models, regional-socioeconomic data and digital health applications, our interdisciplinary team will develop a neurocognitive model of multimodal environmental signatures related to transdiagnostic symptom groups that are characterised by shared brain mechanisms.

ESA’s Operations Directorate is primarily based at ESA’s European Space Operations Centre (ESOC), with activities also taking place across the ESA sites. As Europe's centre of excellence for satellite operation, ESOC is home to the engineering teams that control spacecraft in orbit, manage our global tracking station network, and design and build the systems on the ground that support missions in space. It is also the home of ESA’s growing Space Safety programme: protecting lives and infrastructure in space and on Earth from hazards originating in space, such as asteroids, space debris and space weather. Since 1967, more than 80 satellites belonging to ESA and its partners have been successfully flown from the Centre in Darmstadt, Germany. Today, about two dozen satellites are flown from ESOC, with three more flown from ESA’s European Space Security and Education Centre at Redu, Belgium. These include ESA’s planetary, astronomy, exploration and space safety missions, ‘Earth Explorer’ Earth observation missions and technology demonstration missions.
