Eatfish
The European Aquaculture Training For Improving Seafood Husbandry (EATFISH) is a truly multidisciplinary research project aimed at integrating the biological, technical, socio-economic and governance aspects needed for sustainable and profitable aquaculture. Only when these aspects are integrated, competitive aquaculture in a changing seascape will be feasible in Europe. Aquaculture is the fastest growing food sector since the 1970s and its most important purpose is to provide healthy and safe food adapted to consumer preferences. At the same time there are fundamental concerns about the ways we farm and transport food across the world, which are related to negative environmental impacts. Hence, sustainable aquaculture has been identified as the “greatest and most feasible” way to obtain adequate seafood for human consumption and achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2, 4, 13 and 14 on food security, quality education, climate action and use of the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development. We propose cutting-edge research related to the biology and technical aspects of aquaculture and have a similarly large effort directed towards socio-economic and governance aspects of aquaculture to: 1. Optimise resource economy in European aquaculture, such that it contributes to a circular bioeconomy 2. Ensure animal health and welfare 3. Develop novel aquaculture products targeted to specific market segments 4. Refine aquaculture governance to facilitate sustainable development of the sector 5. Enhance the skills and competences of future aquaculture professionals EATFISH is a Marie Skłodowska–Curie Innovative Training Network funded by the EU (project number 956697)

Cedla University Of Amsterdam
Since its creation in 1964, the Centre for Latin American Research and Documentation (CEDLA), hosted by the University of Amsterdam, has promoted Latin American Studies in the Netherlands, Europe and beyond. We do this by conducting and stimulating relevant and original research on developments in Latin America and distributing the results of this research internationally via academic education at BA, MA and PhD levels and via academic publications such as the open access journal ERLACS. Based on a long history of multi-disciplinary research and studies in the fields of both Social Sciences and Humanities (including cultural anthropology, history, political science, human geography, sociology and economics), we increasingly apply interdisciplinary approaches in our projects and education. CEDLA’s library is considered one of Europe’s largest specialized collections of material on Latin America. The CEDLA institute is part of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Amsterdam. We also have close ties with the UvA’s Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences as well as with Latin American Studies programmes and researchers in the Netherlands and abroad. CEDLA’s research pertains to the Amsterdam School for Regional, Transnational and European Studies (ARTES), which stimulates cross-Regional Studies collaboration.

Colourview Intercultural Research Agency In The Netherlands 20 Years
Intercultural communication is an expert field in its own right. Colourview takes care of complete or partial research projects. You may be involved in a research project and wish to subcontract a survey among a migrant community. We will then handle all the logistics and coordination tasks involved in the fieldwork, which includes adapting the cultural orientation of questionnaires. Or perhaps you would like us to carry out your complete research project. We will then take care of the entire process, from research design, pre-tests, and pilots to data entry and reporting. Our pool of interviewers and respondents covers all migrant groups and languages: not only Turks, Moroccans, Surinamese, and Antilleans, but also Poles, Romanians, Chinese, Cape Verdeans, Iraqis, and refugee groups from Africa and the Middle East. Colourview has managed to establish a network of co-workers over the past 19 years. This network is available nationwide. We are successful in liaising with your target group because we can always establish an ethnic link between respondents and interviewers. • getting access to specific population groups • gaining the trust of the research population • understanding and respecting their cultural identity • being able to speak their language, both in a literal and in a figurative sense Over the next few years, the number of migrants is expected to increase: a target group no one can afford to ignore. Accessing these migrant target groups for research purposes requires specialist knowledge and experience. Entrust your job to an expert: Colourview.
