Clinical Trial Center Utrecht
The Clinical Trial Center is part of the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Neuroscience of the University Medical Center Utrecht in the Netherlands. Our aim is to run successful research projects which result in improvements of patient care, more understanding of the biological basis of psychiatric disorders, but preferably a combination of both: in our most substantial undertaking so far, a treatment algorithm for patients suffering from first episode psychosis was tested, next to building prediction models for remission based on extensive demographic and clinical data combined with biological markers. The Clinical Trial Center has successfully managed clinical trials and non-intervention studies in the field of psychiatry, specializing in (early in disease) psychosis. Our projects are conducted within a unique international network of scientific experts located in psychiatric specialty clinics and academic centers across Europe and Israel. Funding for our studies is provided by the European Commission, international charity funds and unrestricted grants from pharmaceutical companies. The Clinical Trial Center has good track records regarding patient recruitment and meeting study timelines. For most projects we run, the Clinical Trial Center takes on all clinical trial management responsibilities: from writing the protocol and Standard Operation Procedures, designing randomization modules and the eCRF, centralised and on-site monitoring, safety reporting up until writing publications in international peer-reviewed journals.

Digiconomist
Digiconomist is a platform that is dedicated to exposing the unintended consequences of digital trends, typically from an economic perspective. Tech trends often open up a world of possibilities, but also bring their own unique challenges. It’s easy to get lost in the optimism that accompanies those new possibilities, but it’s important to maintain a healthy dose of realism. New technologies are rarely perfect, as illustrated by the gigantic environmental impact that the cryptocurrency Bitcoin had (as a result of its mining mechanism). Through the (widely cited) Bitcoin Energy Consumption Index and peer-reviewed academic papers, Digiconomist contributed to revealing this specific issue.

Instituut Voor Publieke Waarden Ipw
PUBLIEKE WINST ZONDER OMHAAL IPW realiseert uiteenlopende publieke opgaven.

Journal Of Water Process Engineering Elsevier
Aims The Journal of Water Process Engineering aims to be the premier international forum for the publication of world leading, high impact research on the sustainable engineering of water and wastewater treatment processes. Scope Water process engineering is interpreted by us as the understanding and application of the fundamental laws and principles of nature that allow us to transform raw or waste water sources into products that are useful to society, while operating at laboratory, pilot or full industrial scale. These products include clean water, energy and material resources. Our scope focuses on the design, operation, control, modelling, optimization and intensification of chemical, physical, and biological processes for water treatment. We emphasize the process engineering aspects of water treatment processes, for which the focus of the study is on the engineered application and practice rather than the fundamental and underlying science. Submission of outstanding research articles and state-of-the-art reviews are actively encouraged from academic and industrial researchers and technologists. We are particularly interested in the growth of submissions which emphasize the process engineering aspects of water sustainability, focusing on issues related to the reclamation, reuse and recycling of water, materials and energy from alternative sources, including fit-for-purpose treatment processes and technologies with reduced energy and chemical consumption, lower environmental/carbon footprint, and greater social benefit. We are also interested in those submissions which explore emerging areas of research focus; please look out for our 'calls for papers' to be published in special issues. If you are interested in submitting a critical and insightful review paper on the state-of-the-art in a relevant area, we encourage you to contact one of the Editors-in-Chief first to discuss your proposal.

Leiden University Media Technology Msc Program
The Media Technology MSc program is organized by Leiden University (founded 1575 in The Netherlands). It is a place where students are encouraged to formulate their own scientific questions, and to translate personal inspirations and curiosities into their own research projects. To answer these questions, students create actual products, because we are convinced that by doing and creating, new scientific insights into the underlying question are encountered. The programme is a joint initiative of Leiden University’s computer science institute (LIACS) and the Academy for Creative and Performing Arts, Den Haag.

Socio-Hub
In brief, the Socio-Hub is an online platform where the work of students and staff of the Sociology Department can be shared with the world. The Socio-Hub will facilitate the exchange of information and knowledge between the university and others, that is the general public, companies, or governmental institutions. So this is the situation: on the one hand, we cannot share academic work as it is because it is not written in an accessible way. On the other hand, we cannot expect students and researchers to simply know how to make their work accessible for the general public. For this reason, the Socio-Hub team will first develop training materials necessary for learning knowledge transfer skills, which will allow them to translate academic work into a format that is accessible to everyone, easy to read and to understand.

Stichting Zenobia

Electronic systems are everywhere. They closely interact with the physical systems they are embedded in, with human users, and with other systems connected in networks. Electronic systems are how we are going to create a smart society – if we can solve the societal challenges of reliability, miniaturization and reduction of power dissipation. The Electronic Systems (ES) research group aims to provide a scientific basis for design trajectories for electronic systems, from function to realization, and to do so in collaboration with industry. The type of systems we are developing trajectories for include circuits, processors, systems-on-chip (SoC), embedded systems, cyber-physical systems (CPS) and networked systems. The ES research program targets the design of next generations of electronic systems. It is organized in three subprograms that look at the challenges from the perspectives of engineering, systems and circuits. Together, this allows an integral approach. The model-driven engineering subprogram tackles the design challenges for emerging electronic systems. The smart electronic systems subprogram targets architectures, systems software and algorithms that adapt to changing conditions to satisfy application requirements with minimal costs. The digital nanoelectronics subprogram targets nano-scale integration and integrated circuits with controlled reliability, performance and power dissipation properties. It is our goal to transfer our research results to industry and other non-academic partners through close, direct collaboration, such as staff exchanges. We also participate in collaborations with research institutes and have made high-impact toolsets freely available.
