Academische Werkplaats Publieke Gezondheid Brabant Tranzo, Tilburg University
Binnen de Academische Werkplaats Publieke Gezondheid Brabant (AWPG Brabant) van Tranzo wordt in co-creatie met de praktijk gewerkt aan kennisontwikkeling en kennisuitwisseling. De AWPG Brabant bevordert de wetenschappelijke onderbouwing van beleid en praktijk in de lokale publieke gezondheidszorg. Zo kunnen gemeenten betere preventie realiseren. Het is een samenwerkingsverband tussen de drie Brabantse GGD'en (Hart voor Brabant, West-Brabant en Brabant-Zuidoost), het RIVM, Het PON/Telos en Tranzo/Tilburg University. Binnen de AWPG Brabant is de leerstoel Openbare Gezondheidszorg gevestigd. Hans van Oers (RIVM) bekleedt vanaf februari 2004 deze leerstoel. De missie van de AWPG Brabant is het bevorderen van evidence-based werken in de lokale publieke gezondheidszorg om te komen tot een betere preventie. Daarbij worden de volgende 2 wegen bewandeld: 1) Het uitvoeren van een langlopend onderzoeksprogramma; 2) Het uitwisselen van kennis en ervaringen tussen praktijk en wetenschap De wereld van professionals in de publieke gezondheidszorg is een andere dan die van de beleidsmakers, die weer verschilt van die van wetenschappelijk onderzoekers. Hoe brengen we het beste uit deze werelden samen, zonder aan eigenheid en kracht van elke werkveld apart te verliezen? Binnen de AWPG Brabant vervullen science practitioners daarin een centrale rol. Science practitioners zijn professionals die werken in de praktijk (meestal GGD) en parttime werkzaam zijn bij de academische werkplaats.

Centrum Voor Parlementaire Geschiedenis
Het Centrum voor Parlementaire Geschiedenis (CPG) doet wetenschappelijk onderzoek op het gebied van de parlementaire geschiedenis van Nederland na de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Tot de kerntaken van het CPG behoort de publicatie van de serie Parlementaire Geschiedenis van Nederland na 1945, die in het vakgebied geldt als standaardliteratuur. Daarnaast wil het CPG met het Jaarboek Parlementaire Geschiedenis in zo breed mogelijke kring belangstelling wekken voor de Nederlandse parlementaire geschiedenis. Het Jaarboek bevat wetenschappelijke en opiniërende artikelen, veelal naar aanleiding van actuele thema's of gebeurtenissen, alsmede boekbesprekingen, een kroniek van het afgelopen parlementaire jaar, egodocumenten en herinneringen aan onlangs overleden prominente politici. Het CPG specialiseert zich ook in het genre van de politieke biografie. Behalve wetenschappelijk onderzoek verzorgt het CPG onderwijs in de parlementaire geschiedenis en staat het veelvuldig de pers te woord over de achtergronden van actuele politieke kwesties.

Journal Of European Landscapes
As a result of growing economic interdependence and political integration, Europe becomes ever more important as a spatial framework for research. This is particularly true for landscape research. The development of landscapes is highly dependent on the politics of the European Union. Policies on landscape and heritage are increasingly influenced by international cooperation. For disciplines with a spatial dimension, such as geography, archaeology, landscape research and heritage studies, this results in comparative research in regions in Europe and, sometimes, on Europe as a whole. As a result, there is a growing awareness of the European dimensions of landscape and heritage. Although landscape is a theme that is increasingly studied on a European level (in fact, landscape is often described as a typical European theme), there is no journal that focuses on landscape and heritage. The Journal of European Landscapes fills this gap by stimulating and promoting both empirical research and reflexive thinking on the history and heritage of the landscapes of Europe. In our opinion, the proposed journal should focus on the history and heritage of landscape. For the historical dimension, the tradition of ‘landscape history and archaeology’, a successful research tradition on the British Isles, could be seen as a good basis. This tradition is also of growing importance in continental Europe. Heritage, defined as the present use of the past, is a good addition to this as it connects historical research with modern planning and management. Journal of European Landscapes is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal launched to accelerate research and free information exchange in European landscape research. In addition to local and national focused journals the Journal of European Landscapes wants to stimulate debate, research and other forms of international cooperation.

Our aim is to bring together students working with Dr. Yasin Koc on their internships or bachelor and masters theses, and provide them a platform to think, discuss, and conduct research collaboratively. Pantai Project
Pantai Project started as a student initiative born in TU Delft, The Netherlands, motivated to contribute to the plastic pollution crisis. Back in 2018, when the five of us were still students at the TU Delft, Netherlands, we decided to do something about the ongoing plastic pollution crisis. Our journey started by travelling to Bali, Indonesia. We wanted to experience the plastic pollution problem first hand. With a bag full of hope and equipment we started measuring across different areas and engaged with the locals to create mutual understanding and awareness on the issue. One day, it started raining intensely with heavy wind gusts. At the same time we were performing measurements in one of Bali’s rivers. Suddenly, the river started to flood and within minutes large amounts of plastics started to storm right at us, damaging our equipment. It was on this day that we experienced and realized the tangible effects of plastic pollution. It not only harms animals, it also affects people and the way they have to live on a daily basis. Knowing the severity of the issue, we founded Pantai Project. Its name comes from the Bahasa (Indonesian) word for beach, Pantai. From this moment on we were dedicated to contribute to a plastic pollution solution. We achieve this by engaging in scientific research globally, by collaborating with locals, raising awareness among each other and organizing clean-ups creating a cleaner future one plastic at a time.

Project Wave
WAVE was een participatief onderzoek (2019 - 2022) dat ruimte bod aan intuïtie en anders kennis-maken in de zorg voor mensen met ernstige verstandelijke beperkingen en probleemgedrag. In het onderzoek noemden we deze mensen de hoofpersonen. Buitenstaanders, teams en verwanten keken gezamenlijk naar andere, onconventionele manieren om perspectief te creëren voor hoofdpersoon én betrokkenen. Inzet was om na afloop van het onderzoek (delen van) de aanpak blijvend ingeweven te zien in de dagelijkse praktijk van de zorg. Dat gebeurd sinds 2023 onder de naam 'Project WAVE - Het Vervolg'
