About Avinash Jayakumar

Lead Software Engineer with 14+ years of experience, frequently joining startups as a first or early engineer and helping take products from zero → scale → acquisition. I operate close to leadership, translating CEO/CTO vision into concrete technical architecture and execution. My core focus areas include:Frontend architecture for complex, scalable web platforms, LCNC platforms, visual workflow editors, Web SDKs and Conversational AI and GenAI-driven workflow systemsI’ve led the design and delivery of scalable frontend systems, owned architectural decisions end-to-end, and mentored engineers while shipping production systems under real constraints. I thrive in lean, high-clarity, low-politics environments where engineering judgment and execution matter more than ceremony.Technical scope:Frontend: React, TypeScript, Redux, Next.js, Gatsby, Backbone.js; strong emphasis on performance, accessibility, SEO, and long-term maintainabilityBackend: Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka; experience with event-driven and real-time systemsPlatforms: Web SDKs, JAMstack, AWS, DockerMobile (earlier career): Hybrid and cross-platform applications (Cordova, Titanium, jQuery Mobile)I’ve contributed to open-source tooling and developer utilities, including published packages and internal platforms focused on automation and developer experience.I’m known for:Strong architectural ownershipMentorship and execution leadershipBalancing speed with scalability in zero-to-one and growth-stage productsI do my best work where clarity > process, engineering judgment > buzzwords, and outcomes > optics.
