With a unique blend of professional experience and personal experience, i believe in compassionate care and effective support for those dealing with substance abuse and addiction. My philosophy starts with a foundation of dignity, respect, and client-centered care, something many clients have never experienced. I believe every individual deserves a tailored approach to their unique challenges and goals and my mission is to empower clients with the tools and insights needed to achieve a healthier, more fulfilling and meaningful life. Below is a list of skills and tasks that I perform on a regular basis while working with my current caseload. • Utilize best practices with skill and empathy • Model impeccable ethics and boundaries. • Complete and maintain accurate records according to 245G Federal Guidelines regarding the patients' histories, progress, and services provided. • Work with patients, individually and in group sessions, implementing appropriate skills training including but not limited to CBT, DBT and MI to assist in overcoming barriers, gaining independent living skills, and enhancing motivation for change. • Work with patients to develop individual treatment plans with measurable and realistic goal • Coordinate counseling efforts with other mental health professionals and/or psychiatrists. • Evaluate patients' progress in relation to measurable goals described in treatment and care plans. • Work with other professionals to evaluate individuals' mental and physical appropriateness for placement • Intervene as an advocate for patients to resolve emergencies in crisis situations. • Coordinate and colaborate with others involved in patients care such as probation officers, commitment workers, etc. to ensure appropriate aftercare placement • Work with family members in supporting patients recovery
