About Cindy Estridge

Community Relations Specialist with Albemarle Corporation, Kings Mountain, NC. A twenty-two year background in chemistry education and eight years of polymer chemistry and laboratory manufacturing management experience in Kings Mountain has provided a strong technical, community-focused foundation for my current role with Albemarle, fostering community engagement and building stakeholder relationships. I created and manage "Most Likely to Succeed - Beyond the Classroom," a Facebook page to assist parents, students and teachers in the college, career, and scholarship process. I also developed and actively manage a chemistry tutorial YouTube channel to assist high school & college students with the foundational skills needs to understand chemistry. A firm believer that "you don't know what you don't know" has inspired me to help students and parents explore the many opportunities they do not realize exist. I have a passion for empowering students & parents with the skills needed to create and pursue goals by educating them about college, scholarship, internship, and career opportunities, especially those related to the growing industry opportunities in Cleveland County. I have been a volunteer REFIT & REV+FLOW fitness instructor in the community since 2014, and remain active and invested, currently teaching 4 free classes a week. My strengths are multitasking, an ability to focus on priorities, and empowering / motivating others to success through support and education. I thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy a challenge and recognize that there is always something to learn. I place enormous value on, and greatly enjoy, teamwork with my colleagues and the exchange of ideas that result from personal and professional collaboration. In my spare time I enjoy reading, travel with family and friends, and fitness activities. I have hiked the Grand Canyon, as well as sections of Glacier National Park, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Death Valley.
