About James Flanagan

My name is James Flanagan, and I’m a filmmaker from Cheltenham. I have recently graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Film Production from The University of Gloucestershire, and have been focusing my skills for the past three years towards Visual effects, Editing and Production Design and project management. Throughout my time at University, I have worked in varying positions through a diverse portfolio of short film and commercial work, co-operating in as many roles as possible to envelop myself in the creative process of film-making. My passion for film-making started with a love of animation and video games from an early age, an outlet that opened the doors to the possibility of making films for a living. I have recently finished Production Design for an 80’s Sci Fi inspired short film “RIP.E.T.”, a film that truly captures the style of films I want to make moving forward. After completing my University course, I have undertaken a customer assistant role at Marks and Spencer whilst refining my technical understanding of the film making process in my spare time.
