About Jim McKenzie

For more than 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in Christian education—as a teacher, school leader, speaker, author, and trusted partner to schools. At my core, I’m a builder of people and ideas. I care deeply about helping Christian schools clarify their mission, strengthen their culture, and design learning experiences that form students not just academically, but spiritually and humanly. In a rapidly changing educational landscape, I believe Christian schools are uniquely positioned to offer something the world is desperate for: meaning, belonging, and formation rooted in the way of Jesus.Today, my work spans several interconnected spaces:Speaker & Trainer – delivering keynotes, workshops, and retreats for Christian school leaders, boards, and faculty on topics like hospitality, culture, enrollment, leadership, and future-ready education.Consultant & Coach – partnering with schools and organizations to strengthen strategy, storytelling, and systems that support long-term mission alignment and sustainability.Product & Innovation Leader – working in the education and learning-environment space to help schools make better decisions through thoughtful design, evidence, and emerging technologies.Writer – authoring devotionals, essays, and books that explore leadership, faith, formation, and what it means to do meaningful work in education.Much of my work sits at the intersection of faith, learning, hospitality, and imagination. I’m especially passionate about helping schools move beyond “table stakes” excellence toward experiences that are deeply human, deeply Christian, and unmistakably distinct.I believe the future of Christian education will be realized by leaders who are willing to ask better questions, tell truer stories, and design schools that reflect the radical welcome and hope of the Gospel. If you’re a school leader, educator, or organization looking to:clarify your mission, strengthen your culture, engage families more meaningfully,or imagine what’s next for Christian education,I’d love to connect.
