About Jon Ackroyd

A management and process improvement professional with 20 years’ experience of operations and supply chain management in various parts of manufacturing supply chains. A graduate with a first class degree in manufacturing engineering and operations management. CIMA qualified management accountant to diploma level and certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Started career as a graduate engineer with 3M, spending six years in a variety of supply chain engineering, sourcing and operational management roles, managing supply chain activities and driving operational improvement. After leaving 3M, worked as a corporate finance executive leading corporate finance deals and advising clients and internally on operational improvement, before re-entering supply chain and operations with Markem–Imaje, where I was responsible for the performance of global supply chain for one of their major product lines together with leading a team and project managing significant supply chain change and NPI Activities. My recent roles have been operational, firstly as Operations Director for Castle Engineering, a UK/Czech Republic precision engineering business with management of a team of 80. Latterly I have been the interim Production Manager for EAS Ltd, a manufacturer of PCB assembles, specialising in fast turnaround and prototype electronic manufacturing
