About Kelli Thames

I am a childcare worker with 8 years of experience in teaching and supervising children from various states and backgrounds. I have a passion for early childhood education and development, and I hold an associate's degree in this field from East Central Community College. I also have a National Administrator Credential (NAC) issued by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA), which demonstrates my knowledge and skills in childcare administration and management. My most recent work experience is at In the Zone, a childcare center in Mississippi, where I worked for a year in February 2024. There, I support the daily operations of the center, ensure the safety and well-being of the children, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities and lessons. I also contribute to the communication and collaboration with the parents, staff of the center. Some of the skills that I apply and enhance in this role include teaching, supervision, organization, communication, and teamwork. My goal now is to pursue an administrative role in the childcare industry and to eventually own my own business.
