About Mark Crear

Mark Crear, Ph.D, is a passionate DEI ambassador, principal strategist, advocate and enforcer with over 15 years’ SME in Diversity Equity & Inclusion, multicultural competency, leadership development, organizational & performance coaching and employee psychological safety. Mark is known for his exceptional integrity, work ethics, bottom-up management style and ability to lead, encourage and produce results. Notwithstanding, before jumping any “hurdles” on the track, Mark had plenty of hurdles to jump off. Growing up in a single-family home and being a victim of physical and emotional abuse, Mark early on knew that life was not fair and had plenty of reasons and excuses to quit and give up. However, “quitting” was not a part of Mark’s DNA. Instead, Mark relied on his faith and hard work to carry him from his life of abuse, abandonment, rejection and disappointments, to a two-time Olympian, DEI ambassador, strategist, advocate and enforcer. Mark is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) and served 13 years as Executive Director for AACC and 13 years as The Chief DEI consultant for In The Zone In 2024, Mark ended his tenure as the Diversity Equity & Inclusion Manager for Valley Mountain Regional Center (VMRC) and is now seeking an opportunity to contribute his strong character and ethics, coupled with his Diversity, Equity & Inclusion expertise to an organization that has a strong vision for growing business, people, and community that supports it. Notwithstanding, Mark’s greatest achievement is that of loving husband and doting father.
