About Lia Alvarez

My goal: To create an equilibrium between nature and the technosphere. I’m a Climate Impact Advisor and systems thinker passionate about building climate-resilient futures. With a strong foundation in sustainable architecture and industrial ecology, I work at the intersection of environmental impact, innovation, and systemic change—helping bridge the gap between the technosphere and the natural world. At Climate-KIC, I advise startups across diverse sectors on how to measure and project their environmental impact. Working alongside a cohort of 25+ climate experts, I support over 300 ventures, in a yeraly basis, in integrating sustainability into their core strategies—guiding them on emissions forecasting, impact measurement, and long-term climate alignment. My current focus lies in climate adaptation and resilience, a field I’m deeply passionate about. I’m driven by the urgent need to design systems, communities, and technologies that not only mitigate harm, but also adapt and thrive in a changing climate.
