About Marc Eyre

I have worked within the Dorset public sector since 1988, at both Dorset County Council and Bournemouth Borough Council in both the insurance and risk management fields, and now for Dorset Council since it came into being in 2019. As Service Manager for Assurance I have responsibility for the Emergency Planning, Information Compliance, Complaints, commissioning of Internal Audit and am the lead officer for the Dorset Police and Crime Panel in addition to a range of other Governance related functions, including being the custodian of our fraud, whistleblowing and driving at work policies. I chair our Operational Information Governance Group, and the Unreasonable Behaviours Panel. Outside of work, I am an author, musician and photographer. I have written two children's books -"Farmer Peters and his Underworld Adventure" and "A Hungry Monster for Christmas". My band Freak Circus released an album entitled "Freak Shall Inherit the Earth", and these days I perform with a Glam Rock outfit called Glass Spiders and release solo music under the moniker Marc Freak. I am also a Director for Dorset community radio station Air107.2, and host a number of radio shows, including Freak Havoc every Monday evening.
