About Marley Watson

As a motivated fourth year at Virginia Commonwealth University, I am pursuing a degree in International Relations, complemented by a minor in Environmental Studies. With the compilation of these different subjects, I plan on getting my masters in Environmental Security. My academic journey has been highlighted by a passion for understanding and addressing multifaceted global challenges, ranging from security and diplomacy to environmental sustainability. I spent my third year of university doing an internship with Amazon Aid. This experience has allowed me to get a hands training in an area of expertise that I have had a consistent passion for. This internship is one that is paving the way for my professional career. Currently, I am honing my skills and knowledge through hands-on experiences. My role as a Social Media Manager at Marschall Accounting LLC allowed me to cultivate strategic communication skills while utilizing digital platforms to enhance brand visibility and engagement. My extensive time as a childcare provider at the Atlantic Coast Athletic Club (ACAC) has also shaped my interpersonal skills and resilience. Having started at ACAC at 16, I've navigated diverse challenges, allowing me to cultivate and excel in dynamic environments. Since then, I have held two other roles in the company. I held a member services position and most recently a camp counselor. My time in the food industry at Dino's Wood-fire Pizza & Grill provided invaluable lessons in customer relations and financial transactions, enriching my understanding of service-oriented industries. Driven by ambition, relentless curiosity, and a commitment to continuous growth, I am eager to leverage my academic background and diverse experiences to contribute meaningfully to organizations committed to positively impacting society. Let's connect and explore opportunities to collaborate!
