Michelle Witkin, Ph.D, is a licensed psychologist who specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. She has more than 30 years experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with mental health concerns. She is in private practice in Valencia, CA.Dr. Witkin is dedicated to mental health advocacy and to educating the public about OCD, anxiety, and related disorders. She is a regular speaker in a variety of settings that include local and national conferences, classes, workshops, and radio programs. Her audiences have included mental health professionals, school personnel and the general public. She receives praise for her engaging style and for her ability to make complex emotional and psychological topics both straightforward and compelling.Dr. Witkin is a Clinical Fellow of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), and a professional member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA), the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS). She is a graduate of both the IOCDF’s general Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) for OCD and the BTTI for Pediatric OCD. She has specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). Dr. Witkin served as a board member for the non-profit Child & Family Center Foundation in Santa Clarita, CA, from 2003-2014. She served on the Center's Governance Board of Directors from 2014-2017.
