About Paul Cree

I'm a poet, rapper, storyteller, facilitator and co-founder of hip-hop theatre company Beats & Elements. I've performed around the UK at a variety of festivals and events such as Bestival, Lattitude and The Edinburgh Fringe. My work has featured on BBC 1Xtra and BBC London. I've written and performed two solo theatre shows; A Tale From The Bedsit (2013) and The C/D Borderline (2016) as well as co-writing and performing in the critically acclaimed Beats & Elements shows, No Milk For The Foxes (2015) High Rise eState Of Mind (2019.) In 2018 my debut collection of poems and stories, entitled The Suburban, was published with Burning Eye Books. I have worked in youth and community arts for over ten years, working with theatre's and organisations such as: Mountview, Battersea Arts Centre, Roundhouse, The Unicorn Theatre, Stratford Theatre Royal, West End Stage, Cardboard Citizens, Apples & Snakes, The Albany Theatre, leading both short term and long term projects in theatre, storytelling, poetry, rapping and beatbox.
