About Rachel Ryan

After working for many years in the fast-paced newspaper industry, which included editing a newspaper and working on a national title, I turned to using my experience to help organisations across the UK shout louder about their brand, build trust and grow through thinking out-of-the-box content and copy. Currently, I am working as a communications officer at Lancaster City Council where my role has included helping the public to understand the fast-moving changes during the covid pandemic and exploring behavioural insights to improve communications to promoting the diverse work of the council through videos and multimedia, to encouraging people to vote and understanding the electoral system and its changes. I am a personable self-starter with a passion for writing, clear communication and diverse content - always taking utter pride in my work. And, when I am not busy finding the best ways to communicate, I can be found dabbling in triathlon, photography and exploring the world with my 3 adventurous daughters.
