Background
About Sam Austin
I am a passionate and fully-qualified music teacher dedicated to spreading the joy of drumming. With my extensive teaching experience, I bring a dynamic and engaging approach to my drum lessons. Understanding that every student has unique goals and learning styles, I create a supportive and inspiring environment for students to explore their musical creativity. I tailor lessons to meet individual needs, helping students to unlock their full potential. I studied BA Music at the University of Sussex, where I gained a comprehensive understanding of music theory, composition and performance. I have performed in various ensembles across genres such as jazz, classical, and rock. Through my own experiences, I know the transformative power of playing music with others, fostering not only musical growth but also personal development. When I'm not teaching or drumming, I enjoy playing football and supporting my favourite team, Arsenal. I am also an avid piano player, having embraced the instrument as an adult learner.
