Hello! thank you for reading my profile! i'm Sarah but also known as alot of the time as mama. I live in Nottingham with my husband and two sons. I have worked in customer service for 15 years. It all started with a HND textile design course and becoming a weekender at John Lewis. Once I graduated, I proceeded to work full time at John Lewis as I was on the perfect department known as the home department. I became an expert in curtains, blinds and wallpapers. Anything that I could help a customer put a vision together whatever the room with colour, texture and the accessories that were part of the big decision such as bedding, cushions etc. After nearly 9 years at John Lewis, I joined Nottingham City Council Commercialisation team, this role involved a lot of versatile tasks such as getting involved with advertising, marketing, organisation and scheduling of training courses. In our team we coincided two projects.'IT Training' that offered courses at a discounted rate and 'Refurbished IT' disposal of IT equipment that we re-sold on due to our refresh programme we have in place. This then introduced me more to the procurement side which involved admin duties. Moving on, I am now solely involved in the IT Service support team as a Contract & Supply officer. This involves reviewing, supporting various contracts within the IT department as well as the general order checks, approving orders, assisting to fulfil IT purchases from various suppliers from start to finish and receipting the goods. All roles have facilitated my current successes through time keeping, organisation and communication skills combined with customer service and design background from my textile/interior design experience. I am able to work both individually and in a team environment. My side interests are arts/crafts and love organising on the side events and personalised gifts. I do also like to keep fit and clear my head space by going to the gym and taking on martial arts.
