About Sue Robinson

Decades of experience in arts project management. My company specialises in supporting voluntary promoters in non-traditional community venues in offering their communities professional touring performing arts work. We focus on meaningful arts engagement beyond the tick box. People take part in the arts because its fun, and we could do with more fun in the world. Strong on business planning, commissioning, tour planning, programming, people management and ideas generation. Background includes arts and regeneration and local government cultural policy. I am internationally outward looking and generally adept at steering an arts organisation in the right direction in an era of challenging public resources. Always sees the upside and finds ways through difficulties. No wall too tall, but sometimes you have to find a pickaxe. Recently completed a Masters in Art, Culture and Society at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, enjoying the opportunity to be an adult returner to education, the chance to think differently, appreciate another country and see the UK through European eyes.
