About Thiago Oliveira

I’m a marketing bachelor working as a Senior Leader at Earl’s Kitchen + Bar. As a former student-athlete and a big sport person, work ethics, team work and a lot of effort are the biggest assets I bring to the table. After a long year and a half roaming through most Front of The House positions in a restaurant, I started my journey in the kitchen. Went through almost two months of intensive training to get to the Day Sous position and build the morning team that got left behind. Six months in that position and got moved to the new adventure that is working through crazy rushes as the Night Sous Chef. As a side job I still work on some design projects for the restaurant, trying to meet my knowledge to grow our influence in the community and promote events. As a leader I do believe that the old idea of managing people is extremely outdated, so I try to work as hard as I can to make an impact in the most amount of people's lives, from staff to our final costumer and from there, be an example for the people that work under me to either do their best at work or to grow their interest in leadership. I do have an easy-going trait and I’m always trying to bring excitement to the workplace. You’ll see me smiling and focused all the time while I’m at work, always willing to help coworkers and getting the job done. I try to be the less bossy I can be, always trying to improve and develop who works with me in a constructive manner. I’m originally from Brazil and before moving to Canada I worked in retail store and as a Social Media for the Rio de Janeiro Legislative Assembly.
