I am highly motivated and experienced accountant with over eight years’ experience gained within a range of sector with mainly in Local Authority. I am AAT qualified and pursuing last stage of ACCA qualification. I monitor budget for repairs and maintenance (HRA) that involves revenue and capital expenditure. I have substantial experience in monitoring large budget of over £20m. I provide advice and guidance to budget managers during monthly budget meetings. I have developed effective user friendly budget monitoring reports through Business Object reporting tools and Agresso system to enhance better budget planning, monitoring, variance analysis and commentaries while continuously improving on KPI’s. I ensure that budget holders are constantly informed of the budget pressures and unusual spend patterns. I prepare the budget and working papers for repairs and maintenance service for approval by executives and cabinet. I ensure the budget is properly allocated so that it’s effectively monitored against future spending. I have carried out month and year end closing for private and local authority organisation. I have mainly been involved with balance sheet item and inter-company reconciliation, preparing final reports and audit files. I have great ability to analyse and interpret data to present in a simplified meaningful manner to financial and non – financial staff. I achieved an excellent clean record over the last five years for effective monitoring to contain cost within budget while constantly identifying saving areas. For grant funded revenue, I have prepared the working documents including reconciliation report and spend analysis as a back-up to claim grant on time. I have strong ability to lead and manage staff. I managed Apprentice and Future Job Fund staffs within finance section with great passion while constantly motivating them to achieve set goals and targets.
