Wildseed Centre For Art & Activism
Wildseed Centre for Art & Activism is a vessel that seeks to nurture Black creativity and experimentation. Inspired by Octavia Butler’s evocative novel, the Centre was birthed by Black Lives Matter artivists who hope to build an enduring space that could cultivate the most transformative and radical ideas. Wildseed Centre is a multipurpose community space that serves to nurture radical Black experimentation and creation. In addition to housing the office space for its own operations and Black Lives Matter–Canada, Wildseed Centre is a site of activity to support Black radical organizing and artistry. It was birthed through a recognition that there is a need for enduring space to cultivate creative experiments led by Toronto’s diverse Black communities. It is a transfeminist, queer affirming space politically aligned with supporting Black liberation work across Canada. Wildseed Centre is currently being renovated in partnership with the Studio of Contemporary Architecture (SOCA), an architecture and urban design studio dedicated to inclusive city building and the creation of beautiful spaces. We are located in T’karón:to on Three Fires Territory and the territory of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum. This area is covered by Treaty 13. We learn from the Land and are so thankful to be here, in this place. We are in solidarity with Land Back and support Indigenous resurgence.

Elite Program For Black Youth
The ELITE Program for Black Youth provides experiential learning opportunities in STEM for Black Youth aged 15-22. Along with internship experience, participants receive entrepreneurship and leadership training in conjunction with wellness coaching. The program endeavors to help Black Youth develop marketable technical skills, transition into post-secondary studies, and build a professional network. Through their participation in the program interns develop transferrable skills through STEM projects, cultivate a cohort of like-minded peers, and gain practical experience as interns. We see the program as a practical solution for barriers to career advancement that many youth face. Our vision is to cultivate a community of highly skilled, employable, well-rounded young Black STEM professionals with limitless upward mobility within the STEM and business ecosystems. We partner with university research professors, professional engineers, scientists, business owners and technologists across industry and the academy to provide our interns with work-integrated training. Our interns contribute to projects with real-world impact and interact with relevant, cutting-edge equipment. Our program name: Experiential Learning in Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship, or ELITE Program for short, emphasizes our dual passion for cultivating STEM professionals and our focus on instilling innovation and entrepreneurship skills in our cohorts.

All Saints Church-Community Centre
All Saints is a place that supports people as individuals, neighbours, and a community in a space of belonging and hope. Our mission is to share in God’s love in action at Dundas and Sherbourne, especially with those with most in need, in a place of connection, welcome, and practical help. Our signature program is our weekday drop-in, which operates Monday to Thursday. We welcome people from all walks of life, especially individuals who are unhoused, marginalized, and often also dealing with complex health and substance use issues. We offer low-barrier, holistic case management services, counselling, advocacy, nursing care, and provide referrals to legal and housing supports. We support people in a dignified, meaningful way, offering them care that reduces many of the harms they continue to experience due to system barriers. We are also the only drop-in centre in all of Toronto that gives people space to sleep during the day.

The Eva Marsden Centre for Social Justice and Aging works to identify and address the underlying causes of poverty and social exclusion affecting older adults. We work with all levels of government and academic institutions to support research and policy development. The EMC advocates for the rights of low-income individuals aged 50 and older and intervenes on behalf of those experiencing various types of difficulties. Programs and services are therefore offered to address needs related to housing, financial situations, access to health services, interpersonal relationships, social isolation, transportation for medical needs, caregiver's support, and helping individuals have personal and household hygiene products.
