Tarsier Studios
Currently employing around 60 people, Tarsier Studios is an independent game development studio based in Malmö, Sweden. Having worked with Sony and Media Molecule on various projects including LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and Tearaway Unfolded, the last few years has seen Tarsier make the transition to full independence. 2017 saw the release of both Little Nightmares and Statik, Tarsier’s first two original titles. Little Nightmares II was released February 11th, 2021. With both games wildly different from each other in both style and gameplay, the answer to ‘what makes a Tarsier game?’ remains refreshingly unknown and hugely exciting. The unveiling of The City of Metronome at E3 2005 put Tarsier Studios on the map as a developer with a unique vision, and the talent to make that vision a reality.

Frictional Games
Frictional's story started in 2007 with Penumbra, that was a unique combination of horror, physics and adventure gaming. With Amnesia we redefined what horror games can be, and helped kickstart the Let's Play phenomenon. In SOMA we explored deep, unsettling seas and subjects. With our two upcoming projects we aim to continue this thread. Our company was founded in Sweden, with employees working from home all across Europe. A decade later we have set up a central hub in Malmö, now housing 10 of the employees. A dozen more core members still work remotely, as well as the outsourcers we work with. We are 100% financially independent, funding our development entirely with the revenue made from our games. That gives us a lot of creative freedom, meaning we can keep pushing boundaries in different aspects of game design. Our goal is to create innovative, narrative-focused experiences, and explore how to use the potential of the video game medium to the fullest. When working with us your core duties and specific tasks are far from the only things you will be doing. We like to see people dabbling with things outside of their expertise and to constantly learn new stuff. The more areas of development you are able to take part in, the better.

We are a Swedish board game developer, publisher, & board game consultant agency. We believe in the potential of board games as social, educational and creative tools. We design and publish board games in several areas, covering a broad range of subjects in history (such as prehistory, recorded history, natural history and the history not yet written) and in natural science (such as astronomy, biology and earth science). We value a link to reality/science/history, not only as a backdrop but also as a basis for game mechanic design. In our games we strive to achieve unscripted narrative experiences generated by the content and the players’ minds and interaction as they play. In line with our vision to spread the wonderful world of board gaming experience to as many as possible, we also have a segment about collaborations: ION:VENTURE - We will from time to time work with potential projects alongside our main labels through consultancy in (board) game design, development of games outside our three main focus areas, partnerships with other board game developers and developers of digital games and game related activities such as fairs, conventions, competitions, demonstrations to promote it’s games and generally expand the hobby, or business ideas that do not necessarily include game design but that do include games.
