Wine-Of-The-Month
Wine-of-the-Month Club is South Africa’s longest standing and largest wine club. Started in 1986 by Colin Collard, our focus has always been to sell wine that our expert panel have selected in a blind tasting. Why? Let’s face it. Wine can be intimidating. It’s difficult to try a new wine and to be sure it is top quality. But, how best do you do this? Well, before we get to that - answer these three questions: How many times have you chosen the same old wine - just to be safe? Have you ever stood in front of a supermarket shelf of wine and not known which to choose? Wouldn’t you like to learn more about wine, get to taste different types of wine and have them conveniently delivered to your home? Did you answer ‘yes’ to any of these? So, what is the best way to solve this problem without the risk of trying lots of ordinary and expensive wines? Easy. Our panel (of 12 independent wine experts) blind tastes over wines a year to make sure you receive the very best (blind wine tasting ensures no judge is influenced by a label or the beauty of a wine farm or warmth of the host). This way, we focus only on what’s most important "what you taste in the glass". We deliver these panel-selected wines to your door. You choose your budget, where, when & how often you would like your pack delivered. As well as whether you would like Red, White or a Mixed case. And 6 or 12 bottles. Included in the pack: Panel Selected Wines SA Connoisseur Magazine (An Insider's Guide to Wine) Neck tags for each wine giving you info like: Where the wine is from Tasting notes Food Pairing When best to drink it Panel Selected Wine | Conveniently delivered to your door | Since 1986 | Money Back Guarantee

Orange River Cellars
The Orange River and the Kalahari Desert bound Upington, the biggest town in the warm, dry North Western Cape. This is also the main office of the Orange River Cellars, the largest wine cooperative in South Africa and the Southern Hemisphere, as well as the second-largest in the world, according to the number of tons harvested. In the early 1900s vineyards were planted in the Lower Orange valley for raisin production. Since the early seventies, the wine production activities have been extended significantly with the addition of cellars at Groblershoop, Grootdrink, Kakamas, and Keimoes. Grape juice production is managed from a separate, specialised facility at Kanoneiland, and is also done at the wineries of Grootdrink and Kakamas. In the land of contrasts flows the Orange River, which is the life source of this arid landscape. Together with the red Kalahari Desert soil and the thundering roar of the Augrabies Falls, the huge variety of succulents give the barren area its natural beauty. In 1966 the Orange River Scheme was put into operation and to this day this irrigation canal is the nutritive source of a flourishing wine region. The intake of the cellars has grown from 5182 tons in 1968 to a record of 184 tons in 2004. Not much of the original distilling wine scheme survived. The production of good wine goes hand in hand with marketing and here Orange River Cellars had great success with its products. Originally only three wines were produced, but the product list has grown to over 30 different products. A large number of awards over the last couple of years indicates the quality of these products. To date, we have received national and international awards and recognition for our wines, the latest being 5 medals at the Veritas. With the growing demand for grape juice concentrate, Orange River Cellars established juice cellars at Kanoneiland and Grootdrink and in 1996.

Darling Cellars
The cool and temperate West Coast climate lends itself to a variety of different micro- and meso-climates which, along with the different soil types, lead to unique grapes which we guide into even more unique wines. With approximately 95% of all our vineyards being Unirrigated (dry land) and roughly the same percentage being bush vines (i.e. not trellised), this is as close as one can get to what nature intended for grapes to be. These varying factors result in wines that are true to the terroir from which they come and are true to the identity which we have crafted over time for our wines. Investment continues in the winery and cellar with some of the most modern and up to date winemaking equipment in our industry today. A modern bottling line, new presses, a barrel maturation cellar, a new grape off-loading system and continuing replanting of vineyards, to include noble cultivars, all contribute to our advances in contemporary winemaking.

Compagniesdrift
The co. is owned by the Meerlust Workers Trust, consisting of workers from several farms in Stellenbosch. The main services are wine storage, labeling and rework services to the wine industry. We are wine producers since 2015. Although most of our stock is locally distributed, we also export to Germany, Singapore and the US and have capacity for new markets. We have 3 wines; a Chardonnay Unwooded, Chardonnay Pinot Noir and a Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot. The Chardonnay is a pale wine with a vibrant green hue in the glass. On the nose, aromas of white pears and apricots with nuances of lemon. This versatile wine can be aged for up to 2 years in ideal conditions. The grapes are carefully selected for the unique diversity in flavour they bring to the wine. Grapes are harvested by hand. This wine highlights the diversity of the Chardonnay grape and focuses on the elegant fruit profile that the grape has to offer when fermented in tank at moderate temperatures. The Chardonnay Pinot Noir(PN) just won a bronze medal at the Old Mutual Trophy Awards Show. Purchases lets us donate to breast health awareness. This blend consists of 25% PN allowing for nuances of pomegranate, cherries, and various red fruit flavours to be detected on the nose, besides the tropical flavours from the Chardonnay. Salads and cold meat with capers or pastas will be a great food companion with this wine. Vineyards on South facing slopes and within proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, were carefully selected. Picking of the grapes was done by hand in the early morning. The Cabernet has Intense black currant plum and spice on the nose, these flavours follow through on the palate coupled with a rich juiciness and soft, silky tannins. Perfect for roast meat and game. Can be aged from 4 - 8 years from vintage. The wine in matured in seasoned French Oak barrels for 14 months.

Seven Sisters Vineyards
In her quest to change the destiny of, and build a legacy for, the Brutus family, Vivian Kleynhans started the Seven Sisters wine brand in 2005. Vivian and her six sisters, however, realised that to truly reach their dreams they had to find a home for their business where they could grow and maintain their vineyards. They approached the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform and in 2009 they were awarded 8,7 hectares of land in Stellenbosch. The seven Brutus sisters and their baby brother, who grew up in a small fishing village called Paternoster, situated on the outskirts of Cape Town, left the tranquillity of their sleepy town at a very early age when the family was evicted from their home. They yearned to return but were not able to do so given the unfavourable circumstances of the time. Twenty years later, the sisters reunited to create fine wines and launched their Seven Sisters range. Since being awarded land the family, under Vivian’s guidance, have turned the barren piece of land into a wine farm. In 2013 they established their own vineyards which resulted in them also producing their own Brutus Family Reserve range.
