St Johns Wine
St Johns Wine's first vineyard was established in 1997 in the Blackwood Valley wine region of Western Australia. It is a considerable planting of 60 hectares which places us as the largest grower in the region. We are blessed to have fruits of such intensity and quality, providing the foundation fruit for our iconic wines in our Blackwood and Round Puzzle range. The Blackwood Valley wine region is a highly awarded wine region pioneered in the 1800s, with the earliest wine grape plantings in 1978. The region's climate is ideally suited to bold reds grown in deep duplex gravelly soils. Our second vineyard of 40 hectares located in the northern heartland of the Margaret River Wine Region was acquired in 1998. Varieties planted are all on original rootstock with key French varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Chardonnay, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, providing the finest fruit for our St Johns Brook, Round Puzzle and Crush range of wines.

Genista Wines
Two Victorians with a passion for good food and wine, we chased our dream and moved from inner-city Melbourne to Barossa Valley, an area that we fell in love with many years prior. The wines we make come from the fruit that we grow and are made in the style that we enjoy drinking. Our approach in the vineyard is to grow the best possible fruit that we can, making our lives in the winery as easy as possible. Barossa is home to the oldest vineyards in the world, and we’re lucky enough to have a block that is 80 years old. With vineyards dating back to the 1840’s, viticulture can be an extremely sustainable agricultural enterprise and we endeavour to look after our vines, soil, and ecosystem as best we can. We stopped using glyphosate herbicide back in 2019, only using an organic spot spray for invasive weeds when required. In the winery we have a straightforward approach – ferment, mature, bottle. Texture is important to me, so incorporating whole berry, whole bunch and oak contact throughout the ferment and maturation process is important. Malo-Lactic Fermentation helps to create a rounder mouthfeel along with tannin, oak and acid balance. Layered and textural, we want the wines to taste like the vineyard they came from. We manage two vineyards, our Home Block (Shiraz) and the Gipson Block next-door (Shiraz & Grenache). Starting with one Shiraz, we now have a range of five wines, still exclusively produced from our two vineyard blocks and varietals. Since squishing the first grapes in 2017 and officially launching in 2020 with only two vintages of the same wine, we’re excited with where we’re up to and where we’re going. The last five years have been full of challenges and milestones, and the next five will be even more challenging with greater milestones to come.

Penny's Hill
Established in 1988, by Tony and Susie Parkinson, established a vineyard on the rolling foothills east of McLaren Vale. The Penny’s Hill name established in 1991 and the very first vintage was in 1995 – Shiraz, from narrow planted, low yielding vineyards and hands on winemaking to ensure wines deliver an exceptional balance of texture, complexity and interest. The distinctive Penny's Hill red dot, derived from art gallery ‘sold stickers’ is the Penny’s Hill trademark, symbolising the art of winemaking as well as our passion for the work of local artists, which can be viewed at our cellar door and on the walls. The entire Penny’s Hill luxury red wine range is sourced exclusively from the McLaren Vale estates, constitutes the majority of bottles produced each vintage, with white wines sourced from the adjoining Adelaide Hills region. The wines are full-bodied and fruit driven wines, the result of premium estate-grown fruit from vineyards that have evolved as some of the McLaren Vale region’s very best. Since April 2022, Penny’s Hill is now under the ownership of the Randall Wine Group, which includes Seppeltsfield in the Barossa, led by Executive Chairman and Proprietor, Warren Randall.

Thistledown Wines
We narrate the stories and harness the energy of South Australia's iconic vineyard sites to hand-craft detailed, pure & precise Grenache, Shiraz & Chardonnay. Since 2011 Thistledown have hand-made delicious, energetic wines – all sourced from iconic vineyard sites in the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills. We are founded by two Masters of Wine, Giles Cooke MW and Fergal Tynan MW, whose vision is to make small batch wines reflecting their personality and that of the ‘place’ and growers. At our winery in the Adelaide Hills our focus is on crafting premium, small batch, low intervention wines from sites that we believe are special. It's no secret that we're obsessed with Grenache, particularly the old vine, dry grown stuff in McLaren Vale and Barossa.
