I have twenty years experience in the professional services industry (Big 4 accounting firm). I currently am an Executive Director for KPMG's Global Services Centre - Tax. As part of this role, I work with Partners and Firm leaders to assist in the identification, prioritization, development and deployment of globally-focused, cross-functional businesses. Prior to this role, I served as the Tax representative to the KPMG Global Center of Excellence for Climate Change and Sustainability (CC & S) in Amsterdam. As part of my role, I managed the provision of global tax CC & S services to KPMG multi-national clients so that they could understand and leverage the tax incentives and penalties around the globe. In addition, I assisted in building and organizing the global CC & S tax network of professionals. I have significant experience in technical analysis specific to the many tax incentives related to alternative energy, energy efficiency, and sustainability, as well as the U.S. Federal Research and Development tax credit. I have spent time engaged in project management activities, management and training of staff, and marketing and business development activities, both within and outside of the firm. Specialties: Management, training, presenting, writing, technical analysis, budget creation and approval, business development and marketing, including preparation, conduct and oversight of prospective client meetings. Assisted with development of new service offerings in alternative energy area. Managed research tax credit studies. Represented clients at IRS examination and appeals level. Lead nationwide development of quality process procedures related to documentation of research credit claims.
