Mcintyre Family Wines
The McIntyre Estate Vineyard lies in the sweet spot of Monterey County s Santa Lucia Highlands AVA, a 12-mile stretch of benchland renowned for producing wines of character and complexity. Originally planted in 1973, the 80-acre site 60 acres planted boasts some of the Highlands oldest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines. The winery s other estate property is the 81-acre Kimberly Vineyard in Arroyo Seco. Proprietor Steve McIntyre is one of the most knowledgeable viticulturists in California. As owner operator of Monterey Pacific, he farms acres in Monterey County. The McIntyre Estate Vineyard was among the first properties in the Santa Lucia Highlands to be SIP Sustainability In Practice Certified.

A converted pole barn was transformed into a beautiful tasting room using 100% reclaimed/repurposed materials that were on the property. You’ll instantly feel a warm Texas charm when you enter. With over an acre of parking, there’s even room for large RV’s & motorhomes. Seating isn’t an issue either. Relax inside or outside under the covered pavilion. Play our patio games or just chill on a rocking chair. Dry or Sweet, Red, White, Blush or Rosé, their handcrafted award-winning wines are made from 100% Texas grapes! Our winery features premium French-style wines made from Virginia grown grapes, the majority of which come from the 13-acres of vineyards on site. Our winemaker, Katell Griaud, was raised at her family’s winery in Monbazillac, France, and she received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in winemaking from Bordeaux University. Founded and launched by winemaker Donna Stoney (one of the first female black winemakers in Oregon), in 2019. Stoney Wines are far more than just a delicious wine to serve at your next dinner party, they are designed to make a statement both in palate and by their presence on your table. Steeped in family connection, the wine has been birthed from a deep passion for the historic craft of winemaking and a desire to produce really delicious wine to pair with some of the Stoney Family's carefully guarded family recipes. As with every great wine and great story, the journey yielded excellent and surprising results. As Donna pursued her passion in winemaking, she found herself breaking down barriers and perceptions as the first female black winemaker in Oregon. The goal to produce great wine matured into a deeper mission as it became apparent the need to educate, encourage, empower, and support anyone who is facing an unfair barrier. The idea that "a great glass of wine can unite those who share it" suddenly took on far greater meaning. In only one year, that mission is beginning to take form as new fans discover Stoney Wines and create Stoney gatherings. Here, in the safety of friendship, the wine flows freely and the events, struggles, and celebrations of the day are discussed, debated, and praised. We believe that wine can be something more, that together our world can be something more, and we invite you to raise a glass with us as we move towards a more united, all-inclusive, world!
